We have both been screaming for more mobile lengthy skilled 2 way players from jump street. Cavs defensive success has been no surprise to posters like you and me.
Yes. I think you and I took a different route to get here; but here none the less. I knew Jalen Green needed a year to gain muscle/weight and transition into the NBA and get comfortable. Now its time the Rockets get some wingspan. I'm not against the Rockets getting Ivey. I was at first but now feel Porter can defend SF's and supply better spacing than Tate/Kenyon.
While I'm still pounding table for more 2 way players who are are bigger than 6'6 with +7'0 wingspans. 5's taller than 6'9/6'10 would also be nice.
Likewise. I accept a Mark Williams or Kessler. But I would rather move up and get a Keegan Murray or Mathurin to go with a Jabari or Chet. Of course I'm still studying the field. Free agent market for a rim protecting big backing up Sengun. Not giving up on Garuba or Bruno just yet. Just add to our options.
Same. Chet AND Jabari is best case scenario. But Chet and Tari Eason (Draymond w/3ball) is another option. Or Jabari and Jeremy Sochan (longer Scottie Barnes) or Keegan Murray. Daniel Dyson, EJ Liddell, Oscar Tsiebwe, Greg Brown or even David Roddy are also good options with Chet/Jabari.
And Jalen’s first season has come to an end! I think even his staunchest supporters might not have predicted him averaging 30 in the last two weeks, but it happened! I think this might have been one of the few positive threads being made during the time that Green was struggling, so it’s fun to look back and see what everybody was thinking at the time
41 points from a guy who can't shoot, dribble, worst player in the NBA, etc. Forever laughing at people who judge rookies too early and think they're smart.
Well you can be both, it is fair to criticize a player if he is sucking - there is nothing wrong with that, he is a starter in the NBA - he is getting paid to play, he is the number 2 pick, it is ok to hold him to a higher standard. It is also ok to say - have patience. It is not a reach to say both sides were right at the time of their posts. 1. He was sucking ass 2. He was young and needed more time 3. He is a Rocket - and we are all happy he is where he is..... 4. Don't let that get in the way of a good "Told ya so" though....lol DD
It is nice to see Houston players get so much love in the comments. NBA Reddit actually has positive things to say about our kids Never got that with Harden lol
Did they announce that already? I must've missed it. I'd have gone w/ Barnes as Mobley displayed the least amount of improvement among the big four post ASB
After seeing what they did to Cade for Rookie of the month, Scottie is going to win rookie of the year. The narrative around Mobley shifted after Cleveland went in the toilet without Jarrett Allen. I thought Cade had an outside shot, but boy was I wrong. Cade has zero chance. Scottie has the media support now.
I posted this in the Dish. I’m not just talking out my ass. Media is all on Barnes’s nuts now. It’s a wrap.
Evan Mobley has fallen out of favor for ROY despite nothing about his stats changing … because the rest of his teams important players got injured and the Cavs weren’t as good anymore…. So the media moves to Barnes m… because he’s on a good team… that has many players in it better than him. Cade is his teams best player. Jalen is basically his teams best player - whose Scottie’s teams coach decided to double/triple team. I’m not saying Jalen for ROY… but Cade for sure. media voting for awards are idiots.
