That might be why they missed the playoffs

I guess if you wanted to be charitable to Russ you could say it's because he had the most minutes, and availability was part of what they wanted him for, but yea, total disaster and those stats don't change it.

Westbrook knows where priorities lay. If this man had been allowed to grab some more uncontested rebounds, this season would have been completely different.

He genuinely does not understand or care about team concepts that don't show up on the stats. So satisfying to watch him be the abject failure nationally some of us knew him to be long ago.

That, combined with Wesbrook believing everybody in the Lakers organization but himself is the problem pretty much encapsulates the Wesbrook personality disorder to me.

The only thing I fault the Lakers for is bringing him in, thinking it would benefit the team. But Westbrook's gonna Westbrook. Nobody's going to change Russ. Even Phil Jackson couldn't bamboozle him into changing with his BS zen master smoke-and-mirrors act, which seems to hypnotize the average NBA player.

Russ really needs to stop talking…his legacy is going down the drain

should’ve stayed in Washington where nobody cares about his deficiencies and he could average another triple double

Westbrook is so honest that I gotta believe that LeBron knew exactly what would happen and what his attitude is. Tough to imagine Westbrook telling LeBron that he was ready to sacrifice, play defense, and play smarter. So he either didn't care because he knew the Lakers couldn't win anyway or he really believed he could fix Westbrook and win a championship with him.

Maybe what the Pacers really want is the capspace the year after. It's Haliburton's team now. Are they going to John-Wall Westbrook? Will Russ take it quietly if they do?

Some of the things he said, so selfish, it would make me sick having to vote him in to the Hall of Fame. Might even just abstain from voting, leave his ballot blank.

I asked the question in this thread earlier in the season….What team and for how much money is a team going to sign this guy once his contract is over or bought out?

Even at the time I was getting responses thinking someone would give him 10 million. I just don’t see it. I can’t even see the point of bringing him in at league minimum. It’s just inviting a head-case to your team who won’t help you in any way.

the game has pretty much moved on without him, which was true a long time ago. The lack of adjustments, the stubbornness, the ego, the inefficiency, the negative impact on the game all across the board. And his athleticism that was on another level years and years ago, can't compensate anymore. He's still trying to play based off his reputation of the past. Nobody gives af about that stuff. Players try to act like they have his back just out of sheer "respect" for him as a vet. at the end of the day that means nothing when it comes to his sorry ass play on the court. While westbrick has been stuck in his ways, the game evolved and left him way behind. He isn't going to catch up

Guards in this era are coming in every year much more skilled and able to play in the modern era. Westbrick being some must have commodity days are done. If a team throws a ton of money at a loser like him at this point, they're as dumb as he is
