No one was doing it as Blatantly as the Astros. I don' t care. I do care that Hinch said he tried to stop it but couldn't. WTF? You are the manager of the team. That is my problem with Hinch.
Stop what? What was he going to stop? Stealing signs? Stop them from swinging at pitches they knew were coming? What was Hinch suppose to stop? Turn the "camera"? off. Remove anything that can be used to make an audible signal? Please.... Every team did it, every team has things they do today... It wasn't blatant.... The league just didn't like they way The Astros were doing it and then punished us by taking some of the most important people from the team in hopes The Astros would fold and go away... Hinch should still be an Astro...
This one felt all the way through that the big hit/rally was just around the corner, only to run out of corners. Another day...
This is extremely dishonest and disingenuous. Plenty of teams were doing exactly the same thing. This type of garbage being posted is the problem with people who just read headlines and don’t actually care about facts
This loss is on Dusty. You take out your hottest hitter to rest him in GAME 3 and at a time when Gurriel is out on paternity leave? Completely disrupted our momentum -- needlessly! Then he puts Bregman in the game later, which is a tacit admission that he screwed up the starting lineup. Dusty getting way too cute this early in the season.
Shouldn’t you be in some Alabama thread defending the skills of William J O’Brien? Tough game. The Angels pitched well. Agree it seemed a bit early on Bregs but not bothered if that is what it takes to not see the 2021 version of him. Dunno. Wouldn’t have played McC over Siri and no idea why he used G in the 3 hole…that just seemed dumb. JV looked great, Javier was solid and Stanek was who he is. We are not going undefeated and lost a close game. Love that Stroball is back
If the Astros were most blatant, everybody should know If other teams were less blatant, everybody should know The problem is people only know Astros
If Bregman had to be rested on game #3 fine. I don't like it with the off day Monday but Dusty know and the staff know more than I do about player health. What I can not accept is batting Goodrum ahead of Tucker/Alvarez. The best players need the most at bats and it's not rocket science.
Some of you think Hinch was some kind of genius. He may have had a top 5 baseball team of all time in 2019, but couldn’t win ONE GAME at home in the WS. Matter of fact, he blew game 7 with his pitching decisions. Dusty got his team to the WS with a staring pitching staff put together with string and chewing gum.
Dusty gets too cute early, middle, late and post season based on generalizations from the fifties. He can't help himself. But the offense still produced didly squat. They should have been able to produce something, even with Dusty reducing the chances of an easy game. I'm beginning to wonder if there is something more nefarious at work with Dusty's moves. But it's just a suspicion at this point. Ineptness is still more likely.
