What do we give up for Anthony Davis?

    The only way I would be interested in AD is if we were in position to win next year. That's not happening so it's a moot point. Even still, I would have strong reservations considering his injury history. I think we should target other players when the time is right.

    Davis during his time as a Pelican:

    2012-2013: 27-55; 16th in offensive rating and 28th in defensive rating; 4-14 w/o Davis and 23-41 with Davis
    2013-2014: 34-48; 13th in offense & 27th in defense; 5-10 w/o Davis and 29-38 with Davis
    2014-2015: 45-37; 8th in offense & 22nd in defense; 6-8 w/o Davis and 39-29 with Davis
    2015-2016: 30-52; 18th in offense & 27th in defense; 4-15 w/o Davis and 26-37 with Davis
    2016-2017: 34-48; 26th in offense and 9th in defense; 3-4 w/o Davis and 31-44 with Davis
    2017-2018: 48-34; 10th in offense and 14th in defense; 3-4 w/o Davis and 45-30 with Davis
    2018-2019: 33-49; 13th in offense 23rd in defense; 8-18 w/o Davis and 25-31 with Davis

    In 7 seasons, the Pelicans managed to finished above .500 with Davis on the roster twice. That 2017-2018 season was the year they traded for the good version of DeMarcus Cousins. Before the trade the Pelicans were 31-26. After the trade they went 17-8 with Cousins.

    That's a really interesting fact. Missed the playoffs, championship, missed the playoffs. I'm guessing that's the only time in NBA history that sequence has happened.

    If AD could stay healthy, Lakers wouldn't even dream of trading him.

    Since AD can't stay healthy, why would we dream of acquiring him when he's always tripping over his own labia and missing weeks at a time?

    What is AD level? Sounds subjective... was Luka or Trae there?

    Tatum?

    Seems like it's 2 to 4 years depending on the player..
