American pizza is objectively superior to Italian pizza....it's why American pizza is even more popular than Italian pizza in Italy. As to English, clearly American English is what is more acceptable across the globe....for better or worse. I personally think it's largely for better. Honestly those aren't even hot takes. If you really want the knives to come out, I could have started the discussion about traditional Mexican food vs Tex-Mex. Instead, I opted for relative peace.
I hate American pizza. Especially Boston pizza. American pizza is not more popular than Italian pizza in Italy. You're a casual on and off the court.
I'm not a carb w****, so I don't eat pizza of either kind....but I've had both and as an Italian, I can tell you that American pizza is objectively superior. There's really no argument to be had other than some weird contrarian BS.
Ranking based on what? Defense? Is the top good or bad? Lol. You got EG and Tate on opposite ends when they are both two of our better defenders.
I can assure you that American English is not acceptable over English English speech! There is nothing wrong with American English when written, but as far as quality of speech, as spoken by the majority of us, we are so lacking in quality of pronouncing words in our mouth, both whites and black have major difficulty . It seems to be getting worst ! Y
Lol. I just wandered in here, and I have no idea why we’re talking about pizza in a Sengun thread. However, let’s get one thing straight, if you’re judging American pizza by Boston, then there’s your problem. I live in Boston. “Boston pizza” is not a thing. New York pizza is a thing. New Haven pizza is a (great) thing. “Boston pizza” is not a thing. Pizza in Boston generally sucks. Food in Boston is pretty lackluster in general unless you’re into lobstah or chowdah. (Don’t get me started on how terrible “Mexican food” is here.)
I think that's a popular opinion....but I've known too many Brits to share that opinion. You might be thinking they are all David Attenborough, but in reality they have more than their fair share of mindless knuckle draggers committing crimes against the English language every time they open their mouth.
No, the common similar food in turkey is the 'pide' a type of flat bread with different styles ranging over regions, which is excellent and definitely deserves a place in the international food scene but I would not put it as a substitute for pizza.
That's interesting. Honestly I know next to nothing about Turkish culture or cuisine. Greek? A bit. Syrian? Absolutely. Turkey has always been a blind spot for me in that region.
This is interesting, but who gets to say what is the proper quality of speech? Who is the majority of us? I guess the people of the UK get to make that call?
Yes, western Turkish cuisine is similar to Greek cuisine and some regions in south-east Turkey is similar to Syrian cuisine. It is much more diverse though, since it is the continuation of the Ottoman Empire(Greek, Armenian, Jewish and many other minorities + migration within the empire + the palace cuisine) and the country has different climate and geography zones neighboring different cultures all around.
I work for an Italian company and live a few hours from Italy, where I go frequently. This is, by far, the worst take you have ever had ... and that is an incredibly high bar to scale. The fights Italians have about Napoli vs Roma pizza are epic - if you suggest that somehow American pizza is really the best, you will likely be killed on the spot.
