Did you not see how Harden couldn't co-exist with any of his co-stars in Houston?

You nut huggers are missing the point. He abandoned our city and our team, and he did it again in Brooklyn. I am grateful for what he did in his time here, but to destroy the franchise on the way out is not acceptable. Granted Tillman is an awful owner, but Harden did Houston (and Brooklyn) dirty on the way out. For me, that overrides the good times.

He'll always be the bridesmaid, never the bride.

First, what about when the Warriors beat us without Curry? Or when a Spurs team without Kawhi/Parker beat us? Or when the Blazers beat us?

Second, since Harden couldn't co-exist with co-stars, it was impossible to build any sort of stable continuity to attract other stars.

Third, where's your integrity? You're flat out lying and when called out on it, your response is "cool".....

Never cared for those threads back in the day, when he was a Rocket, he had my full support.

Harden leaving Houston when it was clear the run had ended ushered in the immediate losing we needed to land JG. Who is probably one of the 3 most promising young guys we have had in my lifetime as a Houston Rockets fan.

But as Rockets fans we should be mad. He should have stayed and tried to compete with lesser talent and an owner who wouldn’t spend so we could be a 4-6 seed for a few more years.

Harden leaving Brooklyn has left that team barely holding on to a playoff spot and the package they received for him includes Ben Simmons, quite possibly the biggest mental midget in the league currently. Couple that with Qyrie Irving and their future is in some doubt. Making our draft picks possibly more valuable.

As normal humans we should be mad that Harden didn’t want to stick it out with a flat earther anti-Vaxer. Those types of people are stable and reliable and can be counted on at all times. Harden not realizing this shows a real character flaw.

As a Rockets fan I’m outraged at these turns of events.

He forced the Westbrook trade. He forced the Wall trade. He had a hand in the Capela trade. Christian Wood was brought in to help his style of play. He was offered a 2 year/100 million extension before he was traded. Not sure what you are referring to.

He didn’t force the Westbrook trade. He played a hand in it.

He had zero to do with CC, Wall or Wood.

CC was a hail Mary to try to make Westbrook work. Wall was because Westbrook said he wanted out . Wood is the lesser talent you bring in for cheap to help be a 4-6 seed that loses in the 1st or 2nd round.

What I’m referring to is you saying we should be upset Harden forced his way out. Him forcing his way out when it was clear the run was over accelerated the rebuild and enabled us to land one of the most promising players this franchise has had in a very long time.

Why again are we mad? That we could have had a couple more run of the mill playoff runs? I’d take securing Green and starting the rebuild over that any day.

I actually forgot Dwight and Westbrook made all-star. Was thinking more his top MVP seasons

Harden has underwhelmed in the postseason no doubt

I’m glad Jalen is here too, but…..
Run of the mill? What extended playoff runs have the Rockets had since 1997? Or name the extended playoff runs that were led by anyone except Olajuwon or Moses?

You guys talk as if the Rockets have been dominant for years .

what stars ? what star in their prime did he even get ? cp3? oh you mean the team that won 65 games and had the warriors on the brink before injury?

    Dwight Howard? lol

Westbrook? lol. we had the smallest front line in history. it's much less about fit than not being able to defend against lebron and AD.

people need to stop confusing losing and not fitting. the rosters were simply not good enough.

Update: Damian Lillard also had a streak of 6 seasons with at least 1 50 point game.

At the time that Harden forced his way out the only thing in our future with him and the financial situation we were in was going to be non contending run of the mill playoff runs.

If my choice is that for a couple more years, or starting the rebuild, landing an amazing young prospect with the possibility of another this year…I’m taking the latter every time and am thankful that Harden and the team didn’t try to continue down a pointless path.

We had an amazing run with Harden. It ended at the right time and our future benefitted from it.

If 76ers lose in the first round because they don't have Thybulle, then they deserve to lose.

CP3, Dwight, and Westbrook were all in their primes, but past their peaks.

You can "lol" all you want. It just makes you seem immature and incapable of debate.

What's funny is that you're talking about our small front line with Westbrook while overlooking Harden's role in acquiring Westbrook.

Dwight Howard was in his prime? Dwight Howard only made 1 All-Star the first year he was here. And then was quite injured/putting up career worse stats in the next 2.

CP3 never made an all star game while he was here, and was injured in a critical game in the playoffs. The second season CP3 again missed many games, failed to make an all star game and had career lows in all relevant stats.

Not even going to comment on Westbrook's impact here, that was just disastrous all around.
