Was just browsing dinner options tonight and noticed both Dominoes & Papa John's & Pizza Hut were not delivering right now.

    Any idea what's going on?

Understaffed. They’re having to disable delivery orders when they reach a certain number of orders. If they didn’t do it, your pizza would take 2 hours to be delivered.

Should be back online at 8.

Did Dominoes, Papa John's, and Pizza Hut stop using seed oils?

I just figured they all banned Fatty.

Saw a commercial where Domino's will "tip" you $3 on your next order if you pick it up. Add in whatever ridiculous "delivery charge" they tack on, and tip, and you're pretty much talking about a free pizza.

I bought Dominoes for my kids last week and the site indicated it was contactless, so I placed the orders for pickup. I asked the manager about it when I got there and he said the website was screwy, they are doing deliveries and to just call next time.

The middle class and the lower class are sick of working **** jobs like delivering pizza.

In places like Chicago there are McDonalds that are closed by 8:30 PM because of short staffing..... there are literally no places open other than perhaps a Walgreens that will close at 10 PM.

    WalMart even closes early.

Society has been under paying those on the bottom of the socio-economic ladder for sometime and it is catching up.... so we will have to deal with the inconvenience. I don't know if this is the case in Houston or not.... in Chicago it isn't really that uncommon for stores to actually be closed for lunch.

You Just described European society. I like the idea of limited hours. 24h a day stores should not exist.

I don't mind there being a few 24 hour stores, but the pay needs to be higher and prices should be higher.... if you are going to use a 24 hour store, you should be paying a premium.

I agree with your overall sentiment though....

24 hour stores are a necessity if you work non typical schedules.

Do other "shift work" type overnight jobs pay more than the day shift? Sounds fair to me.

    Disagree on prices.

I don't think necessity is the right word because you can just stock up, but I agree with the sentiment.

Now with online shopping it's even less of a necessity.

    They usually do.

Night shifts I have worked on have always paid more.
