Speaks volumes for the kid that he ends up scoring 30 points and there are opportunities for him to have scored more. I think the demanding of the ball will come as he ages but there were def times when he demanded the ball and was ignored (watch him on the perimeter calling for the ball), there were also couple of occasions where he went and got the inbounds pass only to turn and see kpj waiting right next to him asking for the ball. Some of that him but some of that is coaching A good example is, they ran a screen/cut the basket for a lob for jc. That should be run for green or kmj not jc.
Scoring isn't everything but yeah should give Green more credit... that said Senguen was the 16th pick and he already overachieved. 16th and international player. We actually go by draft position and of course the 2nd overall would be more scrutinized. This is pretty common and not weird. Circle jerking is not helpful in general. I agree... only for fun.
Why? Hasnt he been playing like really good since Wood hasnt been in the lineup? Like I feel like the whole team has done better. KPJ was actually a more efficient scorer than Jalen tonight.
thats exactly why he should be the 6th man or perhaps the 3. He isnt a point guard and the experiment should stop next season. he can score though which is why he should get 30+ minutes a game but Rockets could use a PG with better court vision who can set up KPJ in his spots
He's a decent scorer but an awful point guard. That is why I believe he should either return to the wing position (assuming he can handle the defensive end) or take the role of 6th man combo guard where he can utilize his strengths and minimize the impact of his weaknesses.
He has all season. Should he? No He helps Green and Green helps him, the two man game between them can be special
