Idk, I felt like after the first quarter he was basically just jacking 3's. Maybe I'm being too harsh.
I expect a lot from him because his play has been that good recently. I think he did well, but not as well as he could’ve (missed a few open shots, still needs to be less passive off-ball, etc.) but then I remember how young he is and how much he improved, and the fact that he hung a 30-piece on the Nets without playing his best basketball…and I can’t help but to be excited for the future
Go look at that Magic Box Score Wagner 2 points Suggs 4 orlando g league bench full of nobody’s balled out.
Kyrie really played 40 minutes against the Rockets I’m surprised Nash didn’t give KD 40+ too Nash is just there to clap, smile, and provide good vibes
Agreed. This sums it up. Good game overall. Talented talented player. Might be trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. JUST LET HIM COOK!!! Lmao
I would say his handles looked loose today. These are things I'm not too worried about because he hasn't even had a single NBA offseason yet to refine his game. KPJ's handles weren't nearly as tight his rookie year compared to now. Green 's handles will get tighter. He'll never be a Kyrie level type ball handler but he doesn't need to be because he's taller and far more explosive.
I’m impressed but there’s no way both dudes can take 20+ shots a game all next season lol. still need to get more talent and figure out an offense that isn’t just my turn your turn
I personally didn't think he jacked up shots tonight considering he shot 40% from 3s. He also had a couple of open looks that he didn't hit. I would've been more pissed if he passed up wide open 3s especially since he's been our best 3pt shooter for the past 2 months
i think you're being too harsh. I do agree, I need Jalen to diversify his shots, but every shot Jalen shot were good shots, open shots. I want him to cut more to help KPJ. You kinda have to make KPJ see you.
I actually think Silas would do a faaaar better job coaching the Nets than Nash. I don’t know what they’re doing over there in Brooklyn, honestly, or what they’re hoping to accomplish with the roster as it is and the coaching staff as it is.
At one point tonight i thought to myself ehat type of player JG would be if he did have Kyrie's handles. Crazy to think how effective he is with relatively mediocre ballhandling. I fully expect him to improve on that tho
Mudiay, I mean Suggs, is the only one in the top 5 who hasn’t balled out Magic fans cry themselves to sleep at night or say that Franz was actually the guy they took 5th overall as a coping mechanism
Couldn't get in Rhythm on offense. He had trouble getting the ball on curls because Brown and Thomas were bodying him out of position. When he did get the switch against Drummond and Claxton, he was a shut down a couple of times and was really indecisive which ended in him passing it back to KPJ late in the shot clock a bunch of times. I also think good defenders that can pick his pocket or get up in his face exposes his lack of ball handling. Kyrie slapped the ball away from him a bunch of times. He also missed a bunch of open 3's that would have turned the momentum of the game. I think Green is a walking bucket no matter what at this point, but there's still a lot of work on.
Crazy to think that we're (a bit) disappointed that Green "only" shot 4-10 from 3. Just shows how good he has been recently
I know right. That shouldn't happen. People acting surprised and disappointed that Sengun can't keep up with Uncle Drew or Durant out on the perimeter . On the other end Durant couldn't keep up with Sengun or Green. Oh well. Tate/ Josh and Matthew with games below their averages should have been a much closer game. Another great night for the back court.
Totally agree on Jalen moving more off-ball, and I also think that having to force our “PG” to see other players at times is not conducive to a good offense. KPJ should be playing a more natural role for him next season, and I’m sure this year has at least improved his playmaking to some extent. I have high hopes for our young talent, but they need to be developed properly.
