not sure the Babylon Bee haters have picked up on this. almost like the Babylon Bee situation motivated Musk in some way

 

I suspect we're not going to see all the big changes that some are hoping for.

I'm curious what people's predictions are about how Twitter will be different by end of 2022.

 

Yes Musk will still have to deal with the other members of the board but I'm also not sure that those on the Right will necessarily like what Musk does.

Musk currently because of some of his positions regarding COVID and a few other things has gained favor on the Right but for a lot of his career he was sharply criticized and critical of the Right. I don't think he politically aligns with nor in action follows either the current Right or Left.

What are considered big changes?

Twitter is severely under utilized.

It would be nice to see twitter put stop to all the fraud. i would also like to see paid tiers

 

Been observing him for a while, listening to many of his showcases for hours. A fan here. Not the crazy type of fan. But looks like he does have some new dedicated fans today.

One thing Musk is pretty good at is overselling and marketing. His tweet of wonderful changes to come… yea, we will see.

As for claiming to be a free speech absolutist … yes, absolutely, for himself. With power, comes well responsibility and he’s not some free speech ideologue. Far from it. Quite sensitive and can't handle criticism too well. Examples are in the article below. He also self censors himself when it comes to China. Business first. Speech is great (and so is non-speech) when it's also good for business. Not too different from most people. Ideologues are few and crazy.
