I'm not trying to get at you. I am just excited for their demise lol

One thing to note though is that was also before you knew when Durant would come back or if/when Irving would ever be able to play home games at all this season. The turmoil was there along all of those unknown variables. Hopefully the Rockets use this decent pick now though for something valuable, increasing the potential of the team in the next few years.

    Banchero: 19 years old
Manek: 30 years old or something

Manek is probably going undrafted. Not only do you prefer him over Banchero, who is projected as a top four pick, but you compared him to Nowitski. Those stats are fine if you ignore role, athleticism, and NBA potential. If you're impressed by those stats I'm sure you were super excited when we signed Matthew Hurt, who was Nowitski on steroids.

What does any of that have to do with you comparing Manek to Nowitski?

Now you want to do the same for Timme vs Smith, Holmgren or any other lottery pick?

This is bad even for you.

If you’re into conspiracy theories, I wonder if this Simmons “injury” is tied into his filing with the 76ers over the $20 million in withheld payments.

It is possible that he's trying to prove he was unable not unwilling to play for the Sixers.

thats my thinking, but i don’t know if it will track well for him. He had the trade demand, then he wasn’t “emotionally ready” to join the team. To argue afterward that he wasn’t physically able to perform is going to require a lot of proof.

Nowitzki wasn't known for defense. His legs operated like a baby giraffe. Manek (check)

Teach Manek to do a [turnaround - leg kick out - step back mid range] and you got Manek (check)

I don't believe Dirk came into the league with that move.....3-pt shooting is already there (check/check)

I don't expect you to see anything.....you are basketball "bat blind"

Yes, I expect him to be 2nd round to undrafted.

Ready plug in player because of maturity like one Chris Duarte. I was pushing
for Duarte last season and he got selected #13th of 1st Rd. Age 24

And he is 23 years old

    @jiggyfly

    That's The Dirk

For the Nets pick I really like Tari Eason. He's a big wing at 6'8" with long arms. Great, fluid athlete that can pull off windmill dunks in game. Has active hands and gets a lot of steals and blocks. He also draws lots of free throws and hits them at a good percentage. These are good traits to build on on the next level. Eason doesn't take many threes, but hit them at a nice clip as the season went on and can hit them off the bounce. His form could use some work.

His ballhandling and sheer number of moves give him a lot of potential, IMO. He can spin quickly in either direction, use hesitation dribbles, Euro steps, dunks off one leg easily, and really extends when finishing around the hoop. I don't like prospects that need to jump off two legs and always finish with their hands directly above their heads. I remember Clutch wanting Jaden Springer over Josh Christopher last year and I disagreed completely. The jury is still out on those rookies, but in college like 99% of Springer's finishes were off two feet and he could barely extend while Christopher easily leapt off one foot and always shielded the ball. Eason has Christopher's athleticism and fluidity in a taller frame.

Get Up put the question out there of Nets V Lakers for the future. Did the NBA world forget we own the Nets picks and/or swaps for the majority of this decade? A lot of comments mention the plethora of Nets picks and I was like huh?

Honestly I think you all are making more of giving OKC those picks than we should.

One of those picks is top 4 protected , the other is top 10.

You might kiss that top 4 protected pick goodbye but it wouldn't be all that difficult to stay in the top 10 if the team was middling and it would probably be advantageous to do so if you are only 9-14 seed around January1.

I'd rather keep a lottery pick than be in play in range and get trounced by a 1 seed .... and pick 15th.

Wow Cleveland is really going to lose their way out of the playoffs. This is vintage JB Bickerstaff end of the season collapse.

I'm more interested in Orlando winning their way out of a top 5 pick.
