I always look to the Doubles (and triples) to HR ratio to temper my expectations of durable OPS+ power. The higher the ratio, the more consistent as a guide. I guess it was from admiring Biggio, the doubles machine. between ~1.0 (like Bagwell) and ~2.0 (like Biggio) appears to be optimal for durability and consistency. I'm sure there are better measures, but it's easy to see with 2B, 3B and HR lined up in standard stat charts.
Jeremy has a 6 year ratio of about ~2.5 btw. The general trend is higher to lower as a player ages up to about 33. This is just a long winded way of saying Jeremy could be a consistent producer within a few seasons. The only question is how long it will take. I give him 3 seasons to have a breakout season and hope it's the first.
PEÑA, Jeremy Just a test to see how the accent mark will work. SUCCESS! OK. Which other names on the Astros need accent marks? URQUIDY, Josē NERIS, Hëctor BÃEZ, Pedro Did I miss any? I'm using MLB.com to ID who uses the accent and who doesn't.
Originally I think he was expected to be out until mid-June and they’ve since said he’s ahead of schedule but not expected in April. So my current expectation is that he will start to rehab in early May and come back to Houston in late May.
Marshall, you are 30% of the posts on just this page. You continue to say stupid **** like "let's go brandon." You use 3 posts when 1 will do. The daily computer lineups are annoying...can you be better please? You're making this forum a worse experience for everyone else. Maybe just 1-2 posts a day would be a good start?
You'll also notice many of the posts are in the middle of the night. I get you guys want to purify your echo chamber. But I'm the last based pede I know that hasn't completely abandoned sports. But you're doing your best to complete the process.
The only issue arises when certain blocked posters continue to make up the bulk of the threads…. And people still reply to them. A universal block would fix that.
