If the Nets finish in the 9/10 spot, then I believe they need to win 2 games to make the playoffs, not one. That is why it is so important for us.
lol. I think every thread is a "here's who I would draft" or "brooklyn/our lottery pick" thread now. Thank goodness for the streaker thread giving us some variety and something worth responding to.
Ben Simmons needs to stop all the tomfoolery and shenanigans and just announce he won’t be playing this season Weak minded Benjamin is gonna make his debut during a playoff series, especially after he completely wet the bed last year in the postseason? Yeah right… if he does, I’ll eat all the crow
Call me crazy, but if the Clips win tonight they have a shot at catching Brooklyn over the last 4 games in terms of record, right? I get that nothing will be clear until the play-in, but if the clips end up tied or better than Brooklyn I’m assuming that’s a good thing for our draft pick? Honestly with the play in rules I don’t think I fully understand how western conference records would affect eastern conference records, as far as draft picks.
The Nets are only 1.5 games ahead of the Clippers. If the Clippers catch the Nets AND if both teams lose out in the play-in, it helps to push the pick up one slot. It's a small chance, but there's hope.
Why though? I dont get it if you're not msking the playoffs you should be tanking. People here are legit arguing its better to get 12th pick than top 3 pick I dont get it. Are there examples of 13th pick players becoming stars? Yes. But it still doesnt make any sense why youd want a worse pick than a better pick
You dont need to magically get good you just need to stop tanking after next year. OKC went from lotto to WCF in 1 yr. Spurs went from no 1 pick to champions in 1 yr. Tanking is a choice the team isnt really that bad if they dont want it to be. Its all about being smart and maximizing the window you have to be bad.
Dude? I said what I said before Harden got traded, that changed the entire calculus, I can't believe you are trying to go at me when things changed drastically. Do you really think the Nets would be in danger of missing the playoffs if Harden was still there? Come on son.
