I was wrong? There are numerous GM's and Head Coaches who have drafted players and after seeing them in camp, practice and/or games and know they were a bust or may not be as talented as they first envisioned but they continue to give them opportunity after opportunity. Meanwhile, there are free agents, end of the rotation players, who may stand out in practice and games but get limited opportunities. And I think Bruno Fernando is one such player. If all things were equal Bruno should be starting over Garuba. So, why is it so hard for Silas and Stone to say we were wrong?
But isn't the incentive for the players? That if you come in and prove yourself, that you will get playing time no matter your draft history.
First of all. Garuba played only 183 mins the entire season. If u have patience maybe u would see the potential garuba brings to the table. Imagine Asking front office to admit they fked up 20 games into a rookie career. Jeezus christ Your thread starting ability top sht tier.
I still think Garuba can be a defensive anchor that is more valuable than someone like Bruno. He can be a bigger PJ. He just needs more playing time and starting these last few games is a great first step.
Garuba is supposed to be the defensive stopper some guys are looking for in this draft. Give him time he’s got game.
Garuba had a great rebounding game but zero points. This isn't what the club needs. Fernando will make a great back up center teamed with Sengun as back up Power Forward next season. I hope the management is paying attention to this fact Y.
Defense and rebounding is exactly what we need. We scored 41 points in the first quarter last game with Garuba starting.
Garuba had a great rebounding game but zero points. This isn't what the club needs. What u smoking? We r dead last in rebounding. Of course garuba developing any semblance of an offense game is needed, but we need folks that want to rebound.
Not trying to win but set the table for next yr. The one big next to Tate does not work. TOO SMALL. I think Wood is going to be here next yr and since Garuba is not a 5, Sengun is a backup 5, I would've given Fernando a few games with Wood prior to setting Wood out for the rest of the yr., just to see if there's a fit.
J. Christopher made mentioned of how well Fernando played in practice. Also, I've seen the games and I'm sure you have too and I can not see Garuba out playing Fernando in practice, can you?
Should have traded Green after 20 games. I mean what a bust. Rookies never improve after being hurt and playing less than 20 games. Do people make posts just to post some outrageous BS?
This is a lot simpler than it is being portrayed Garuba: contracted for next year Fernando: not contracted for next year We can have a good look at Bruno during practice, but end of the day he hardly strikes me as someone worth investing significant money into. He has already had his career high in scoring here due to opportunity, good luck to him wherever he ends up, but there are plenty of other 6'9 rim rolling Cs out there we could get for the minimum. There is no purpose in playing Fernando over Garuba - much better to see what Garuba can do and give him development opportunities
