Bruh, why you mentioning me. Never said he was a bust, just wasn't sure Jalen was HIM until about a month ago.
If you thought back to back 30 point games were impressive, how about back to back to back?! His threes are on point, and once again—being so consistent from the FT line as a rookie bodes really well for his shooting in the future
These performances make me angry. If we benched and traded the vets at the deadline, there's a decent chance Jalen comes into tonight averaging north of 20 PPG and is in the conversation for ROTY.
You know how much I love Jalen, but I think these kinds of cherry-picked comparisons are a tad ridiculous. It’s like Cade being the only rookie with 20+5.8+7 since Jordan or something. There’s always something in common (if it’s a good rookie, not Suggs)
Because I said MJ and Kobe before the draft and you kinda scoffed at me the other day When I said, "you don't draft Ralph Sampson over MJ" "Who is MJ in this scenario?" Were your words more or less, lol. You best recognize (just messing with you.....you al'rite)
Well it's more than that.....it's that MJ spent 3 years in college and then turned pro. As the comment below states, Jalen is almost two years younger. Jalen is just getting going.
I’m just treating him as a straight-out-of-HS prospect, for all intents and purposes. And he compares favorably to almost all of their first seasons, even the legends. And all the “great work ethic” stuff already seems to have been proven right, the strides that he’s made as a player over the course of the season are not normal. Can’t wait to see what improvements he makes to his game over the offseason, he’s already proven to me that he truly wants it.
More than ready to. Unfortunately looks like too little too late for Jalen as he is still behind in every single major stat category, points, rebounds, assists, steals blocks. Looks like you will be the one to suck me off instead!
I think you have me confused for someone else, that was in the NCAA tourney thread I think? Comparing Jalen to MJ is still absurd. Jordan had a few inches on Jalen's vertical leap, on top of being two inches taller with a four inch advantage in wingspan. Even though I'm in the camp that says Kobe Bryant is one of the most overrated players of all time, he still finished 19th in all time Career Win Shares (172), in comparison, Hakeem finished with 162. Hoping Jalen turns into Kobe is still a crazy expectation, even for a #2 pick. Green turning into a top 30 most productive player of all time right after losing James Harden (27th in career WS as of right now) would be a dream come true.
Ah, in the "What would you trade for Mobley" thread. Never replied to your "You Don't draft Ralph Sampson over Jordan" post. The Irony is that the Rockets did draft Hakeem over Jordan lol.
All he needs to do is get stronger and Tilman, Stone, Silas, Eric Gordon, D House, Nwaba, Wood and Augustin get the he*l out of the way. With no tanking next year, he will show out, Yule see. P.S. and the refs will start calling the fouls and send him to the FT line more. Hopefully get the same Jordan treatment, if you just breath on him, "FOUL!!!!!!"
