So stop reporting the news? Stop reporting what potential 2024 GOP candidates are doing? Trump has been campaigning and just keeping your head in the sand is your point of view? Do you hear yourself? Blaming the MSM is like blaming Ukraine for Russia historically invading its neighbors over the centuries.
there's an intersection between pro-Putin, anti-anti-Putin, and anti-Ukraine support amongst the far left and far right. Given you and @Sweet Lou 4 2 oppose any active support for Ukraine, which is what Russia wants, aren't you really just pro-Putin? MURA?
He's only a thing of the past if you make him one as an obvious Republican voter. Oh wait you are an "independent" sure... Anyways... as an "independent" voter who never has ever supported anything a Democrat has done, and never has had an objection to anything negative a Republican has done, you can then do you duty to make sure that Trump isn't the nominee in 2024. You also can only vote for Congressional candidates in your district who will pledge NOT to vote for Trump as Speaker of the House if the Republicans win back the house. Trump is only being talked about because of people like you not exercising him out of the political culture of the right which you obviously belong to. It's on you dude. You want us to stop talking about Trump when it's newsworthy??... Get him out of your body of politics in your own way that you contribute to it. I guarantee you I want Trump to not be irrelevant alot more than you do. However you can make it happen way more than I can. I'm surrounded by Trumpers everyday of my life, and do my best to maintain those relationships while trying to work around the edges. But I am a Democrat, or at least have been one since W's second term. If you are who you say you are, you have a much bigger role to play in our politics at the very least a local level to influence an exit from Trumpism on the right. You can't b**** about the left, and the MSM when you are a much bigger part of the problem being silent and not supporting candidates at a lower level who repudiate Trump. So stop whining at people like me about your own damn problem.
I wish but that doesn't gel with current reality. As of current, he's a lock for the Republican nomination in 2024 and he is the leader of the party. Do they not have "endorsed by Trump" campaigns in FL? It's a constant thing here in TX.
I think someone like @Space Ghost could be even more effective because he's got the ultimate attention grabber from the right. He'll lead in hard on his hate for the left, and that gets the guard down much easier. Talking sh$t about Democrats makes you a pretty influential person to the right whether you are a guest on FoxNews or you are just a dude sitting at the bar at Chilis getting to-go-food because your kids are driving you crazy. With the views that Spaceghost has with so much animus towards Democrats, and liberals, he's in a better position than anyone else at his level to influence Trump's exit from relevancy by making a case that there's a better answer than Trumpism AND Democrats. Point being... stop b$tching about Dems and do something about it yourself if you think Trump is too relevant.
I have no need or desire to pretend to believe things on the Internet for likes. I think you are confusing me with the various posters on here that have pretended to be someone they are not. I would much prefer Trump to Biden or Clinton, I just prefer Libertarian candidates to Trump.
You are correct. His base does not typically consume MSM. Trump can't be in the past if the anti-trump crowd keeps talking about him and how awful he is. We already know that. He is not going to jail and he is not going ot be prosecuted for anything. I just wish liberals would stop talking about him.
You don't let someone commit a crime like treason today, and tomorrow go......oh that's ok, he is in the past.....let's move on.......no, you have to prosecute or someone will try that same stuff again. He is not in the past until he is in the prison, or better, the earth. DD
If they do I really dont pay attention. I live in a purple county. We dont see a lot of political activity found in the rural and urban counties. Its very nice.
lol Wut? I don't think anyone here would think I was pro-Putin, so I'm curious how you rationalize that.
You make WAY too many assumptions. I have stated this multiple times and Ill say it again. Republicans are not ashamed of who they are. They are not full of self-righteousness (outside of their religious beliefs). I get tired of ALL politicans who state they want to do more for the better good. The class division is growing. Republicans openly admit they dont give a ****. All I ask is for people to stop voting for shitty candidates but year in and year out, the same self righteous people continue to vote for shitty candidates into office. Stop voting for your respective parties. They dont care anything about you. Stop pretending they do.
He is not going to be prosecuted. Stop wasting your time. He will be dead soon enough. Focus on something productive. Any attention focused on Trump is not productive. Period
I used to vote for some Republicans, but now I feel I can't or they will use their collective power to enable someone like Trump. If Republicans stood up to Trump and held him accountable for obstruction of justice, trying to bribe Ukrainian politicians, and of course Jan 6th. If Republicans thought about Climate Change instead of denying it, or didn't tar and feather Fauci, or do these nutty things with trying to restrict votes and overturn them...then I'd be fine voting for Republicans. I don't think asking them to embrace scientific truths as well as hold a grossly incompetent and corrupt President accountable is asking too much. I didn't agree with many things Bush Jr did, but I didn't think he was stupid, and I credit him with doing a lot to save our country from a Great Depression. Republicans were never the enemy for me, and I used to consider myself one when I was much younger. But the last 5-6 years have been really really awful for that party. The whole, "well democrats aren't much better" argument is just a bullshit rationalization to me. You're a smart guy. You have values. Let's stop pretending that self-righteousness ever really mattered though. I respect that you don't give a crap that Republicans only care for themselves. The question I have for people who vote Republican is - where do you draw the line though? Because if enough voters actually helped them accountable, they would adjust and the party would improve a great deal.
I can make assumptions because everyone knows the “everyone is terrible and equally bad” position is not what you say it is. Equalizing both parties as equally terrible while only criticizing the left (you say it right there that you think the left is self righteous while the right has the merit of boldness) gives away the game. If I say the Lakers and Celtics are both terrible franchises but at least Magic Johnson knew he was a good passer and didn’t shoot terrible shots and was a good facilitator while Larry Bird and Kevin McHale were ball hogs who were horribly in efficient…. It’s obvious that you favored watching the Lakers over the Celtics. Like you aren’t fooling anyone here so just have balls to tell us what you really feel instead of being all self righteous yourself (look at me… I’m above ALL politics yada yada). The fact is even at a micro local level, you have more agency to pull Trump out of Republican popularity, but instead blame the left and the media. The fact is there are thousands like you that own Trump way more than you think. And sorry but when one party is literally trying to overthrow Democracy and starting to side with a Dictator who is bombing schools and hospitals just because he’ll hack the DNC to help Republicans get dirt… that’s not equally as bad as just being a party that has a few people in it you feel are virtue signalers or “self righteous.” If you were truly independent you’d have the awareness and objectiveness to at least tell the truth about that basic fact.
