AppleTV+ is $4.99 a month. I get a deal thru AppleTV+ that gives me Showtime and Paramount+ for $9.99 total. So for $15, I get all 3.
I should be listening to free broadcasts if I have to suffer through the commercials. So why pay for cable when it has insufferable commercials?
Since I am stuck in Idaho I sub to MLB.TV Last year even youtube TV games were on. Hopefully the Apple TV games will be to. Haven't looked
Streaming is how all sports content will be consumed in the near future (if it isn't already). There's also far more money to be made by all parties when optimized correctly, given how the money comes from each viewer who can choose to watch individual games or subscribe for an entire season, all at a certain rate. Teams are also banking that you won't simply give up your cable tv or sports channel subscription... merely that you'll just add on with amazon prime, youtube, apple tv. To take it further, the cable companies aren now partnering with those streaming sites to make it "easier" to access them through their equipment (xfinity just added appleTV+ last week). If baseball gets this right, expect contracts to eclipse $400-500 million within 2-3 years.
Right, but you still need to be on the Apple TV+ app to access the games. And you have to pay $4.99/month to get that (or get deals if you buy an Apple product.)
