Let's give Portland a hand. They did us a solid by losing to OKC. I think the Blazers are setting up to be one of the greatest tanking franchises we have ever seen after this stretch. Incidentally, I am happy to announce that I am playing SF next Tuesday for Portland. Wish me luck.
just the other day, people were using OKC as some prime example of how you’re supposed to tank while crying about the Rockets getting the 8th pick OKC is such a master of tanking that they got the 6th pick last year, currently have a better record than the Rockets, and just picked up a devastating win
The league deliberately adjusted how the lottery worked in an attempt to avoid teams doing this, but right now it's very clear the method hasn't worked and several teams are still tanking more blatantly than ever by going as far as to shut down even healthy young players and rookies. I would not be surprised if the league takes action against this if the attempt is blatant enough.
They already penalized tanking teams enough by giving the worst team 12% chsnce to get top pick. Not sure how much more action the league needs to do this is like player collusion if a team wants to tank nobody can stop them.
yeah i don't remember it ever being this bad. there are 5-6 teams actively trying to bottom out right now. the lineup portland is throwing out there might be the worst in league history.
