I could go for a similar strategy. If Atlanta would give #8, Terrel, and maybe a 2nd next year do you do it? Then get great running the ball and hit FA or another trade or two for defensive side of the ball. Maybe get another late first or 2nd for Cook and use it on defense. Might try to get Spiller a little later in the draft for you rb.
I guess if Kyle Hamilton can be a shut down safety, it might be a good pick. Personally, I prefer building up the trenches. But I’m no scout who will see those elusive intangibles that make superstars from the crowd of elite athletes. Regardless of whom they take, it is essential they player be game changer. But at #3, there is a good pool of difference makers, that the Texans just have to hone in on one that they think is the best of the lot.
This is the year to build up those trenches. I'd grab every offensive or defensive lineman I could this year, there's no QB to be had and no high end skill player either. Stack those trenches baby!
Ideally we trade down a few spots (Carolina 6) to a QB hungry team pick up another first next year and get him there.
