Please forgive me, but I don't want to derail a thread (don't LOL) to ask mundane questions more tech savy posters would consider a waste of time. After help yesterday getting a link I couldn't find with significant effort on my part (thanks again), my new question is how do I turn off the eMail notifications? The only thing I could find only turned off the flags at the top of the page and had no effect on eMail notifications. I know it must be simple to anyone other than a tech dunce like me.
This is a little like the blind leading the blind but I will give it a shot. Sounds like a browser issue. I do not know what browser you use but there should be a way to adjust your preferences in your browser. Don't know if that heads you in the right direction. If not let me know what browser you use and I might be able to be more specific.
If I have it down right, DDG is my search engine and Firefox is my browser. I had them confused earlier. My local internet connection Roadrunner/Time-Warner/Spectrum is my provider (it keeps on changing hands).
From Firefox home control+shift+A should bring up a list of add ons Turn off mail notifier add on if present. If no mail notifier is present open firefox application menu select settings - select privacy and security scroll down to permissions select notification settings remove permission to send notifications from offending party. That is the limit of what i know how to do about this issue. Hope it helps.
I'll try it as soon as I can open up Firefox. I might be trying to open a Firefox Search engine instead of the browser.
I see GAMEDAY on the score menu so that probably means it's being televised somewhere. A link from someone more Tech savy would be appreciated. I've looked and looked and all I find is advertisements for fee based live streaming.
It is really not intended for a problem with the site like the feedback section. It is for problems with a user like myself who can't figure out how to use them properly. I'm stuck in the rabbit ears TV and rotary dial phone era. In other words, an old codger. But I see you are an old codger yourself.
I'd be glad to take suggestions for a better thread title to cover the user problems rather than the site problems. I can see where it's confusing.
Wondering how to watch or listen to a particular game is generally asked in the game thread during the regular season. Since there isn't a game thread for individual spring training games, you can just ask your question in the spring training thread.
