well then I guess we will see how it goes, I know I won’t be drafting Hill high in my fantasy draft
I would do it for #53 and draft Wilson or London at 13. I am a big Cooks fan but he is getting older and I believe he is a free agent at the end of this coming season.
If you lose Cooks who do you replace him with? He seemed to be Mills go to guy. I like to have some form of veteran safety net. Maybe Landry? I know you want to get the most for or out of player but it might be best to keep Cooks one more year and see how Mills does. If Mills seems to be able to not rely on Cooks as much let him walk in 2023 and replace him accordingly.
People from Texans twitterverse really like mock drafting Jayvon with the 3rd pick. Just not feeling it. And I wouldn't trade Cooks. So underappreciated basically knows every NFL offense, cheap for his position these days and a safety blanket for any qb, like he has espn or something. If Mills is your guy, you have to put him in the best situation possible.
I like cooks but mills looked for him too much last season I recall he had a great game where he fed every receiver when cooks was out one game but maybe with pep running the offense he will get him to spread the ball around more. If the packers are offering a 2 or third then we should take the deal and get all the picks we can
I'm truly torn on Cooks. I love the player and believe he is Mills "go to" and comfort target. I also have to believe he is a great mentor for the younger WRs we're bringing in. His contract is void after this year (I believe), I could see us offering him a 2-3 year extension at a reasonable rate and him being a key element (bridge) of our rebuild. If we can resign him, then I'd prefer to trade him at the deadline versus now. Just believe his intrinsic value is worth more than a 3rd or even 2nd round pick especially in camp and to begin the season.
Realistically, Cooks' value proposition does not line up with our championship window, which is 3 years from now. Trade him for picks.
