Also for comparison sakes, let's look at Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, and Scottie Barnes over their last 23 games. Jalen seems to be measuring up quite nicely compared to these guys that are soooo much better than him. Note: I picked a 23 games sample size because Jalen has played 23 games in February and March. Cade Cunningham 19.4 PPG 6.3 REB 5.8 AST 1.1 STL 0.8 BLK 3.6 TOV 43.0 FG% 31.5 3FG% on 4.7 attempts per game 50.8 TS% Evan Mobley 15.5 PPG 8.6 REB 2.5 AST 1.0 STL 1.7 BLK 2.2 TOV 50.2 FG% 13.3 3FG% on 1.3 attempts per game 54.1 TS% Scottie Barnes 16.8 PPG 7.5 REB 3.4 AST 1.4 STL 0.7 BLK 2.0 TOV 51.6 FG% 31.5 3FG% on 2.3 attempts per game 56.7 TS% Jalen Green 17.8 ppg 3.1 REB 3.3 AST 1.0 STL 0.4 BLK 1.7 TOV 46.6 FG% 37.0 3FG% on 6.3 attempts per game 57.3 TS%
is he really the best? would he beat Sengun playing 1 vs 1? not watching the games lately but somehow i doubt it... i watched his highlights vs portand and its mainly 3 pointers.... what happens when the 3 doesnt fall?
Just so you know both Green and Sengun shoot roughly 50% from within the three point line. Jalen Green also takes about 40% more attempts inside the 3 pt line per game also. So Jalen Green takes a lot more two pt shots per game and is in the same ballpark with Sengun in 2 pt fg percentage which is odd considering Sengun is a big man who traditionally should have a much higher 2 pt fg% percentage than a 6'5" guard who's basically a twig currently. So to answer your question, when the three doesn't fall Jalen Green uses is wide variety of mid range moves and speed and athleticism to finish around the rim. Ya I can try you haven't been watching the games. Anyways, other posters say you aren't sincere in your posts and just troll? Is that true? And if it is why dedicate so much of your life to being insincere?
Probably because she or he is going against tanking and getting Top 5 picks, against whatever foundation the NBA is built on and the big part is the lotto part of the Draft. That is what bugs this guy.
Poster truly believes that hard work triumphs all and tanking isn't it. Dummy belief that Kobe Bryant level talent can be found anywhere consistently no matter what stats has shown differently.
Hakeem94 is the only man on my ignore list, the CF browsing experience improved tremendously without his BS.
Crazy how Green could have just woke up out of bed and won the dunk contest but instead he chose to do some extra stuff and embarrassed himself.
He has some of most athletically pleasing movements near or at the level of Ja and he's taller. Man I hope this kid reaches his full potential.
I am convinced that Green is the only one out of this draft that has superstar potential. I sincerely believe that he and Cade have the highest upside. Mobley is going to be a really good Robin to someone’s Batman.
That was my belief before the draft and nothing has changed my opinion. I think as the team is starting to get built around him he'll really start to shine. I liked all those top guys, even suggs. I thought Cade would have the fastest success out of the guards but I thought/think in the long run Jalen will be the best player from that draft and it won't be close.
Catching up on this thread and some really good takes! I agree with the majority, Green has really taken a step up in the last third of the season. A major component of that is his confidence. It seems to have clicked for him that he realizes he can play an Alpha role on this team and doesn't need to defer. I read somewhere that Dennis has been encouraging him and that's helped him have this epiphany. If that's true, then that alone makes his acquisition for half the season worth it. Watching Green lately has been really fun and exciting, but I truly appreciate his demeanor and how he carries himself as well. An offseason program should help him fill out and I believe he'll take another step next year to what many are predicting here. An area I want to see him embrace more next year is leading. With his God-given ability, if he's able to step up his leadership skills then look out--he'll be special.
