Nix being better than Ivey isn’t even a good troll post…it’s so low effort Nix is barely NBA caliber at best…CF loves them some overhyped scrubs
https://n.rivals.com/position_rankings/basketball/2020/PG Look where Nix was rated - he screwed up by going to the G league.... DD
I know it does not sound like it but this year's Rookie Ladder is highly balanced. Even Mobley and Cade were not running away with it hence I have a hard time distinguishing who is really the best player available even with 1 season hindsight.
I think referring to KPJ and Ivey as "both combo guards" is like referring to Tommy Wiseau and Leonardo Dicaprio as "both actors".
Ivey and Green can work if we make Sengun the PG he is supposed to be. Sengun passing to Green and Ivey would be great.. Ivey can work with Green because Ivey will actually pass to Green. Time to let KPJ go or move him to his natural position.
In the Playoffs, I think they only played bunch of seasons together at that. I almost forgot that Steve only played so many seasons here and came back with an alcohol problem the second time.
https://n.rivals.com/position_rankings/basketball/2020/SG Ivey was the 17th rated SG.....in Jalen Green's class....Green was numero uno! DD
Honestly what DD said really isn't that outlandish. If Nix ended up going to UCLA as planned and stayed for two years like Ivey, he could very well be considered the better player right now.
I agree. Ivey improved so much from his previous ranking. it's just because DD's reads are so off most of the time you cant trust anything he says. Now that he likes Nix. Nix is probably done forever. All DD's favorites crash and burn. The curse it real! DD loved KPJ so much KPJ almost quit basketball at halftime.
Wow, wow tap the brakes. DD does not speak for anyone else. The DD Rule of Thumb is to expect the exact opposite of what he says to occur. You're better than this.
I hope the answer to the OP’s question is yes. Because after Ivey takes over tonight everyone is gonna want to draft him. I think he’s the safest prospect in the draft. 1). Ivey 2). Green 5). Sengun everyone else is tradeable. Add another piece and you have a real foundation.
That is for the people with a narrative, but my hits and misses are about the same.....as everyone elses, but when you have so many posts....well.....people don't remember the ones you were RIGHT on.... Or, if that is what you believe, I am 100% certain that your mom won't cheat on your dad. DD
Ivey and Green would overlap some. There would need to be some roster acrobatics to fit in all the wings and hope you can find a good enough cast in the frontcourt to balance it all out. If Im being 100 about it - I'd say some guys who are in on Ivey were out on Green originally and this might be a way to keep busting Jalens chops with another player on the team who is "better than him".
It would work well. If we had a real coach, they would design an offense where Sengun/Green/Ivey iniate the offense. You can have a pure pg (Nix or vet) to sprinkle in off the bench Need sniper/defenders around those 3 in the starting lineup though. Maybe time to cash in some picks. Come away with Ivey and either Sengun or Smith. Sengun Holmgren TBD Ivey Green
I've been wracking my brain, but I just can't come up with any combination of assets even with including Brooklyn's picks that would get us back into the top 4 of this draft without including Jalen Green which would defeat the purpose. You're trying to build on a piece that you have by adding 2 additional pieces. It would be a hard sell to any of these team's fanbases for starters. You suck all year and your team's management tells you they're punting on a top 4 pick for a bunch of unknown picks and a role player or two.
