Both advanced metrics (Kenpom, 538, etc) and Vegas have us winning it all. What timeline is this? I cannot comprehend being the favorite to win a natty. Someone pinch me.

one game at a time. im more worried about nova than zona for some reason. I think it's nova has a ton of boxes checked just like UH including a great coach in wright

Zona was damn good obviously and they earned a #1 seed but they had a first year coach and a ton of inexperience and they hate playing against physicality

It's correct to fear Nova more than Zona.

Zona was the ideal matchup for us to exploit. Our strength was their weakness.

Nova is the exact opposite. They hit 3s, sink free throws, and play incredibly disciplined, sound basketball. They are extremely well rounded and have a lot of senior leadership. They are not mentally weak and play tough.

yeah the aspects i highlight that favor UH is speed, length, and obviously defense. Nova is a small team. It used to be UH that was always undersized. If they're locked in like they've been last night, they have a great shot. I love how they're still playing with the chip on shoulder. That's always been a driving factor for the program bc that locker room is full of dogs.

I thought the stats were surprisingly even...except for shooting percentage. We made our shots, they didn't. I call that good defense.

Agree. I think Coogs were a difficult match up for AZ. Unfortunately I think Nova is a difficult match up for UH.

Things will only get better in our future! We have proved we are a legitimate contender for any up and coming star recruits to sign on with. Great coach, great program, great team, and a great future for all Coogs fans. We are the best team in Texas!

Man, I love this squad!!! Go Coogs!!!

My son has been texting me...got on an elevator last night with Hakeem at the hotel lol! Was there when the fans sent the team off on the bus from the hotel to the arena. Said the crowd was just great...red everywhere!

So jealous of your son. I would kill to be in San Antonio right now.

I only went to Pittsburgh for the round of 32 because it's a 4 hour drive from DC.

If we make the Final Four I'm gonna have to beg the wife to let me go... so far she's been supportive!

Probably more. That crowd was as nasty as the team was.

Eff that noise. Enjoy the moment. It feels good to be respected. Now I want to be feared.
