Well it is so that they poked the bear. Zelenskyy's election was provocative itself and his firm move to exit Russia's sphere of influence was even more so. I think Putin may have felt some security with Trump in the White House, but with Biden's win and Zelenskyy's NATO talk he knew he'd lose a satellite if he did nothing. And sure, it's not "fair" that Russia can hold a neighbor hostage like they have, and it's right and just that Ukraine can be free to govern themselves. But as a statement of simple analysis, it is true that their cities are being pulverized right now because they dared to be free.

I don't think she's right there is nothing to win here. People are dying, there's a massive refugee problem, their cities are being destroyed, their economy wrecked, but if they can weather the storm I think they will likely truly be free of Russian influence after this. That may be worth it.

Don't Say Gay DeSantis doesn't seem very smart to put her on the Board of Education. Well, actually, it's no surprise at all. He is part of the GOP who dismissed the insurrection, and they do love those Q crazy conspiracy folks and insurrections.
