So then you are in favor of a full scale counterinvasion, since you are too tough to mess around with p***y @ss sanctions?
Crazy that they aren't arresting the camera man as well. You'd think the last thing they want is for that to get out.
The Pope is involved now. And Mary mother if Jesus being called into action. Mic drop. The War is over. But the debate forum will just be getting started.
All of those jerk Putin apologists should be forced to watch this video. I've seen so many videos and articles from the right in recent days really flooding the airwaves with "well it's about NATO expansion" or "Well Ukraine isn't perfect. etc. etc" bothsidism garbage talking points. Watch this and tell me again why exactly Putin is doing this.
They aren't Putin apologists, they are Putin supporters. Russia has gone up huge in the white nationalists circles given that Russians are nearly all white and share tons of values with them. In any case, this is going to be a strategic failure for Russia. There simply is no way out of this that could be considered a victory. The crushing sanctions, a war that they are clearly not winning, and a world united against them.
Of course the Ukraine is arming civilians........ their country has been invaded by a foreign power that has a history of oppressing them. I am not sure what you expected.
This isn't even blurring, this is all spelled out in the Geneva Conventions. The Geneva Conventions define combatant and civilian. Anyone who is armed and organized by a Ukrainian government (and the Geneva Convention is quite loose when it comes to the definition of organization) is a combatant. Anyone who chooses not to participate is a civilian. The burden is on Russian combatants (i.e. the Russian military) to properly discriminate between enemy combatants and civilians as long as Ukraine isn't unreasonably using civilians as shields. But all indications are that the Ukrainian territorial defense forces do wear unique markers to identify themselves (and the Ukrainian army has unique uniforms to identify themselves). Russia has yet to make a credible argument for bombing places like hospitals, apartments and refugee shelters. Under the Geneva Conventions, they'd have to prove that the Ukrainians were intentionally using the civilians in those buildings as shields to hide their own military. There's zero evidence that such a thing has occurred. Otherwise, these are all war crimes under the Rome Statute.
