I thought Mobley's weight wasn't horrible simply because he was around Capela's weight coming into the league 215-220 or so, but yeah, I had some issues with his weight, too. You can put 10-20 pounds onto that fairly easily. Hell Capella's put on something like 30-35 pounds since his draft weight and you'll find people saying he was too thin on here during his rookie year. I think most people's issue with Chet is that if you put 30-35 pounds onto Chet, he'd be at Capela's rookie weight and is a couple of inches taller.

I honestly don't care. These are the cards your dealt in the draft you're in, and I really don't foresee any of these guys being the next Jordan, Olajuwon, Lebron, etc. anytime soon. Hopefully whoever we draft proves me wrong. I also foresee some being busts -- good luck figuring out who among the top 10 won't be worthy of that pick. If we select Chet, maybe he'll be a true unicorn (ugh) in the NBA sooner than later. Yeah, he may get bulldozed in the post by bigger dudes, but maybe he'll be able to provide retribution further out on the court. I find his defense to be the most intriguing for this team, so if he can't bow somebody out of the way in the post and dunk on them a la Shaq, whatever. If he ends up being 70% of a Durant in overall talent, I'm down with that, too.

I’m less high on Ivey in that I can see playmaking and shooting limiting his upside, but agreed that he’s above Smith and Paolo. Really, the Rockets just need a top 3 pick.

Green can be the lead guard. Low turnovers, smart passer. Sengun is also like a point guard

    Sengun/Garuba
    Defensive 3 point specialist
    KMJ
    Ivey/Christoper
    Green

    Is a way to build!

With Chet it just depends on his body .

he seems to have pretty good coordination and speed . He runs a bit hunched over . Looks like a pretty good athlete for his huge size .

thing is he WILL get bullied . We have to do with him what Cleveland is doing with mobley ... which is , play him as a 3-4 vs a pure 5 . We don’t want him taking too much punishment . Sengun will be good . We will need another backup too . Theis woulda been ok but we can prolly live with 3-4 million for that spot vs 8 .

I scared of y’all ppl getting hurt . Gobert has been pretty good so far . Can’t bulk up too quickly .

but agree with the breakdown . Fit with green , sengun , and Tate looks fantastic . The. You have ty ty too . That could be your starting 5 by the end of the season. If kpj would accept a bench role that would be fantastic .

JC could also win a spot . Joel embiid fell to 3 and porzingis didn’t go at 1 . Wiseman went 2 . He’s not a #1 lock . Ivey is supposedly very good and smith and Banchero have elements of their games that stand out too . Smith is tantalizing if he is good on D .

Was there ever a white 7 footer that was not injury prone? I don't remember...

So Chet is a no go for me..sorry but that's the honest truth..I'm just scared hes going to be dragged by injuries throughout his career

Ok, Nikola Jokic is 6'11 but his built differently

10 seasons, half not played completely, early retirement

Smits developed nerve damage in his feet from wearing tight shoes as a teenager.[4] To help recover during the off-season, he spent time relaxing at his summer retreat in Walton, NY where he was a regular attendee of The Afton Fair. Foot problems hobbled Smits for the majority of his career, and he retired at the conclusion of the Pacers' 1999–2000 season, after Indiana was defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals 4 games to 2.
After four surgeries to repair nerve damage to his feet, Smits underwent intensive back surgery in November 2009 to correct cracks in one joint that link his vertebrae. Smits has also undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and had bone chips removed from his left ankle

    Fair enough...

But in general, there is a small chance he will be healthy throughout his career

Do we know what Chet’s current weight is tho? The 190 lbs that is often cited hasn’t been updated in awhile.

if string bean Capela and small shoulders/high ass/flamingo legs/built like a q-tip Evan Mobley can come into the league weighing 215, I don’t see why Chet can’t do the same

Playing 867 games over 12 seasons is a lot. One of them was a 50 game season btw.

Like he started 79 games his final season, even after all thise surgeries

James Harden has played 12 seasons, is regarded as extremely durable player, and he's only at 933 games

Chet is going to average 8 rebounds a game no matter what position he plays...

Timme doesn’t leave the paint when Chet drives, tough spacing

Regardless of height - which I remember him being 6’10-11 as well - they are very different players. Durant doesn’t play the five. Chet doesn’t play the three.

Giannis would be a better theoretical comp for Chet. And if his body holds up and he gains some lean mass - the sky is the limit for him.

I’m still just concerned about body type. So yes, I’m being a hater.

    das racist. :)))

sean Bradley was strangely durable with a more similar build. Maybe that’s why I struggle accepting Chet as my lord and savior

I’d see Chet’s comp as Mobley and Garnett as his best case scenario, Zhou Qi as worst case
