    Give them a break, expectations are at the floor. That's easy to exceed with any run, even 1 game win streak.

    The Lakers have been playing better even in losses. Westbrook is playing better, controlling his turnovers, and not shooting too much when his shot isn't falling. LeBron's scoring has been more impactful lately. They'll add a high-impact player in Anthony Davis soon, as well. Then, there's always the league's desire to showcase their marquee player and team. We're going to see them turning on the magnet ball for them and giving them favorable whistles. I predict a 6-4 record even knowing they'll for sure lose without LeBron tonight. I also think they'll take the Suns to at least 6. That said, I would love to see them out so we can all focus on the future stars and teams of the league without needing to hang on to teams that don't have a strong present or future like the Lakers and even the Warriors.

    LeBron is the league's marquee player. Their favorite son, for better or for worse. The Lakers are the league's marquee team. Remember, they beat the Warriors in the play-in.

    No he isn’t. The league is now onto the next generation. The lakers are embarrassing to the league rn. That why teams like minny can clown them and literally laugh in their faces

    Their last 8 games aren't easy either:

    1 vs Dallas
    1 vs Utah
    1 vs New Orleans
    1 vs Warriors
    1 vs OKC
    2 vs Denver
    1 vs Phoenix


    Phoenix and OKC should be Ws because one has the 1st seed locked and the other is tanking. Denver....could be a split as the last game of the year is against the Nuggets and Denver could have their seeding wrapped up by then. The others all need to win so you're looking at like a 3-5 finished for an overall record of 34-48?

    Spurs are 1 game back from the Lakers and have 3 winnable games on their schedule (Houston, Portland twice) but have games against the Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Warriors, Nuggets and Mavericks.

    Westbrook has actually managed a pretty impressive 20/7/7 on 59% TS(39% from 3 on 4.5 attempts)over his last 8 games…. Lakers still went 2-6

    Considering that the Lakers' dumpster fire seasons are more famous then their championship ones, I'd have given them 82 nationally televised games this year the moment they made the Westbrook trade.
