I’d, frankly, prefer it that way.

The fatal flaw for Westbrook is that he doesn't change for anybody. If he had any ability to learn from and take advice, he would have taken coaching and learned how to play team basketball at some point in the past decade.

Westbrook doesn't adjust for circumstances. He knows he's the greatest and everybody needs to adjust to fit to him. I'm sure he believes deep inside he is the victim and is being treated horribly unfairly by everybody.

I agree generally with this. But I have known people in my time that were so rigid and inflexible by nature, it just didnt seem like much of a possibility that they could adapt well to new and dynamic changes in their life. Lots of structure and doing things one way.

It also goes along with what you say that in my observation, these people have to believe their way is right. For to admit fault would mean having to change. And forced change is particularly scary for these folks.

So with the above said, what we see may be the best he is capable of.

The best part about Westbrook is he can be terrible for 99% of his time playing basketball but when that 1% of greatness happens he crows and talks **** like he’s always awesome.

Him “rocking the baby” when we were down like 20 to the Lakers in that playoff series….

He is going to tear it up and then suck in the play-in game.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Lakers are in the process of recreating themselves into a dangerous team. Stay tuned.
