He’s the best decision maker on the team imo. He doesn’t force it and knows when to pull back or pass it. I trust him with the ball in his hand not because of ability but because of his decision making.

More signs of Jalen's big future. The things he's good at align stunningly well with all time greats. Map:

Defense (rapidly improving, suffocating lateral quickness and persistence, extremely Kobe-like)
Shooting (38% for 2 months now, TS% almost 60% in that span)
Getting to the FT line (one of the best rookies at this, should be 3rd now)
Hitting midrange jumpers (better than Chris Paul since ASB on a still-small sample)
Passing (4.2 assists to 1.8 TO's last 11 games, recent uptick in his asst/to ratio)
Transition (was born good at this)
Clutchness (we haven't had big games yet to make a scientific assessment, but he has been money when we need a basket to seal a game or catch up, I know the gene when I see it)

We have a true franchise player brewing here.

Probably because Cade is more consistently good. Barnes has some brilliant games and some not so impressive ones. Just my guess. I don't get to watch a lot of their games.

He's so mature, everyone loves him.

Also, he gets to put up a lot of shots on a bad team. Barnes plays on a good team with multiple very good players around him.

Imo Barnes is clearly over Cade but it doesn't really matter anyway

This game he was very passive and aside from a dunk or so not that memorable. Onto the next one

he still is a streaky shooter but it's frustrating that we can't get him easier looks.

like the minute ALP checked in, he slipped a pass to him for an easy dunk. these are the type of plays that could happen 2-4 times a game if we had proper playmakers in the squad (or let Green actually play minutes without KPJ/Wood on the floor).

Yea he was very off but the guys around him rarely help him turn it around.

Overall bad game and it's ok. He has had his worst games vs Mavs. Too physical defensively

Silas doesn't seem to have set plays. His offense is literally if u open, take your shot. The randomness of a free flowing offense makes it "harder" for defense to react.

That coupled with a newbie pg, who can't generate ez looks, u will see green not being utilized properly on offense.

what was nice to see (or maybe it's my imagination) is that after a few misses he started to really dial in and go for defensive rebounds. almost acknowledging that he knew his shot was off but decided to contribute in other ways. these are winning intangibles for me.

Considering he and Sengun's development are the only reason I'm watching the team these days, it was incredibly frustrating to watch long offense stretches where he didn't even touch the ball and was parked in the corner smh. So of course the few times he does touch it he feels the need to hunt tougher shots.

The way this offense operates is basically "okay it's your turn" and the queue is 5 players long. There is no offensively flow which is sad as Silas was marketed as a offensive minded coach.

This coaching staff just sucks dick.

Shots need to b distributed evenly across the board, mins 2 amongst vet.
Silas wants everybody to not get their feeling butthurt.

The ball is being passed a lot more, but it's not much different than Harden iso's offense both random/free flowing. At least harden gave his teammates wide open looks.
