The NBA is massive. I’d qualify those you listed as Supernova Markets.

a “large market” is actually defined by 2 million households. The Rockets serve over 2.5mil

You can’t just make up brackets to fit your narrative.
9th out of 30 is not a large market relatively speaking.

And there are a bunch of other markets much larger and more attractive. Specially if you think he wants to be in New York

You’re making up copes to defend why you don’t wanna trade for Zion. Literally every media outlet on the planet classifies Houston and the Rockets as a big market, even before Harden arrived

Large is relative to ranking when talking about sports teams. Only a fool would think Houston compares to the east coast teams.

So in your mind, Tampa is a large market?

No, sports leagues do not consider Houston to be a large market. Good market, yes. Not a small market.
There’s a reason media ***** on Houston teams.

And I don’t have to make up copes for why we shouldn’t trade anyone outside of Wood and KPJ for Zion.

He’s a fat, always injured washed at 22 player.

Large is only relative to ranking… to you. Serving 2.5mil households is “large” no matter what microscope you put on it, or who you compare it to. NY and LA just happen to be largER

Houston.. the fourth largest metro population in the Nation… is not a large market. Idk man but in my mind 2.5mil people is alot of people, and it dwarfs Sacramento and New Orleans with their 650k households.

New York isn’t a big city bro it’s nothing compared to Tokyo or Shanghai. It’s all relative you know.

Which was ultimately the whole point - that Houston is a bigger market than New Orleans. Much bigger.

And the 9th largest TV market.

There are 12 markets that are considered technically large, covering 2 million plus. Another 6 that cover 1.5-2 million.
So all of them are large in your mind?

Yes, it’s relative to their peers.
And relative to their peers, Houston is not a large market.

Maybe I should say destination, will that make it easier for you?

Regardless, you turned this into a conversation because you speculated Zion didn’t want to be in New Orleans. Which you don’t know to be true. Stop making excuses for why he’s missing games, he’s fat and broken. Period

No satire to it. Tampa has 2 million household market share. Are they a large market by sports standards?
    No they’re not.
Phoenix, Washington are considered large markets. Are they by sports standards?
Minnesota and Denver have 1.9 mil, are they large markets?

Stop getting butthurt about calling Houston what it is. I’m as Houston as it gets, but facts are facts. It’s not a free agent destination, specially as of right now. And it’s never going to be a media darling.

You also moved goalposts because in your mind Zion wants out. That’s not the reason he’s missed as many games as Greg Oden in his first 3 years.

    What is big market?
    top 10? top 5?

U should do a list and see where Houston lies. Houston might not b a free agent destination, but idk how one can't see that Houston is a large market.

Top 5 is big time relatively speaking. When you have 30 teams.

    Houston is 9th, behind Atlanta

And yes, if we’re getting technical it’s a “large” market. But that means Phoenix, Washington, Atlanta, Boston are large markets too.

In ZION’s mind Zion wants out. Not my mind. Player that doesn’t get along with org being a pest, getting fat, sitting out. Sounds very familiar to something that just happened here in Houston. Something down the road in San Antonio too…
