So would Fertitta and Stone be okay with whatever the pick ends up being if it's not in the top 5? Do they actually want the Rockets to try to win with 10 games left in the season? I would like them to explain how wins now matter in the long run. You can't tell me winning some of the last 10 games of this season would have a bigger impact on the Rocket's future than securing a top 5 pick. What are the Rockets doing? Winning right now would hurt the team's future more than it would help.
After being this bad for this long, it would be painful if the Rockets end up out of the bottom three worst records. I wouldn't be shocked tbh. It's all neck and neck and OKC is clearly the most determined of the four to be the worst.
I have no problem trying to win ..... buuuuut where was this energy the first 72 sunk cost fallacy and all , but we might as well finish the tank strong .
You guys realize it’s a lottery anyways ? lol @ “drop us to 4th worst and 6-10 range” yeah ... or we could get #1 now , I do know that being worse limits your downside . and also to the guy bemoaning being bad again next year ... not that I’m one of these posters ... but a significant portion of CF already wants us to tank again next year too. Imo the development side and what you do with the prospect (fit and scheme ) have more to do with success than the small talent gap between slots
You are really incompetent when you screw up being incompetent. I still remember the Mavs 30 years ago winning a meaningless game against the Rockets that cost them the pick to get Shaquille O'Neal.... lets hope the Rockets don't screw this up.
Dallas doesn't need Luka to beat these rockets. Just like how Ja sat on sunday and steamrolled to a W
With 10 games left, Rockets are in 1st place for the grand prize chamionship with the best odds. I don't predict the Rockets to be out of the 5th place standings . Based on my prediction if we somehow land 5th place, worst case scenario would be the 9th pick. May be forced to draft another guard like SG Johnny Davis to play along with Kpj, Green, Gordon, Chris............in a crowded back court. *Worst worst case scenario which I don't believe will happen if the Rockets win all their games and the 7th place Trail Blazer (27 wins now) and 8th place Spurs (28 wins now) lose all their games would place the Rockets tied for the 8th pick with a season record of 28 wins overall! In this case Rockets will receive no later than the 11th pick. 1st pick 1) 14.0 (2) 13.4 (3) 12.7 (4) 12.0 (5) 47.9 2nd pick (1) 14.0 (2) 13.4 (3) 12.7 (4) 12.0 (5) 27.8 (6) 20.0 3rd pick (1) 14.0 (2) 13.4 (3) 12.7 (4) 12.0 (5) 14.8 (6) 26.0 (7) 7.0 4th pick (1) 12.5 (2) 12.2 (3) 11.9 (4) 11.5 (5) 7.2 (6) 25.7 (7) 16.7 (8) 2.2 5th pick (1) 10.5 (2) 10.5 (3) 10.6 (4) 10.5 (5) 2.2 (6) 19.6 (7) 26.7 (8) 8.7 (9) 0.6
Luka out... Sabonis out ... Portland... I don't even know most of their roster ... this is not looking good. Hopefully the tank gods are still with us.
No way he finish bottom 3. Other teams are tanking much harder than us and our schedule is easier down there stretch.
