I'm saying the people they are voting for have no integrity when they choose to spout blatant lies and propaganda. I am saying the people they are voting for don't have the moral compass they portray. I'm saying the people they are voting for, and the candidate they choose for their party, is an adulterer with 3 wives, a compulsive liar, and a man who lies, cheats and steals. I don't care what religion or non religion people choose. I care about noticing when someone is dangerous or incites hate. I am saying that sex trafficking, crime, pedophilia and more are done by their own party members. I am saying that the party pretends to be against crime but turns a blind eye if the perpetrator is white, or one of them. I cited plenty of examples. That is truth. You may not believe it, but if you don't question the hypocrisy then maybe you should. By the way, do you believe Trump won? Do you believe attending White Nationalist rallies is OK? Do you believe it is fine to turn a blind eye and not condone any violence by whites against people of color or LGBTQ? Do you believe it is ok to try and overturn an election!? I don't consider myself a liberal. I've voted Republican far more than Democrat. That being said, I can see a big difference in the party now. It's scary how it has come to this.
@Sweet Lou 4 2 there are plenty of countries where you don't have to vote for your presidents or real leaders china, north korea, iran, russia..
You can make a choice based on whatever fancies you - that's the right of all human beings. I don't like calling anyone who believes in something a "wokester" - using pejoratives broadly doesn't do anything but give people a way to sit on their high horse. There's nothing wrong with someone who is LGBT or pro-choice eating at Chik Fil A. There's also nothing wrong with someone who is LGBT or pro-choice boycotting Chik Fil A. That doesn't make them a wokester (which I guess is the new term for SJW). But there is also nothing wrong with telling someone that hey, maybe you might want to know that the CEO of Chik Fil A believes in x,y, and z. The problem is when people try to force or control others into doing something, or put a big guilt trip. This is nothing new. When I played ball in high school, my sister would scold me for buying Nike's because they used child labor. And this gets into what it truly means to be woke. Being woke isn't about lecturing others, it's about having a greater awareness of what is going on in the world and with people...and making individual choices that align one's values with that greater awareness. It's not about shaming others or trying to get people fired. So when people use "woke" as a pejorative, you do a disservice to the very ideal that it entails. An idea that came from the early 20th century that formed the basis of the civil rights movement.
I am moving away from viewing myself as a liberal and definitely more moderate now as the years go by, but given how polarized things are and how extreme the right is, It's very hard to be a moderate. In regards to integrity, I suppose we are getting into semantics. Like I said, I have friends who are genuinely good, honest people - and they vote fro Trump. Some refuse to believe in the negatives and are trapped in a fantasy world. That doesn't mean they lack integrity. And others rationalize their vote because they can acknowledge that there are simply other things that matter more to them - such as issues on abortion. If you believe abortion s the greatest evil for instance, then voting for Trump can be argued to be acting with integrity. It's not that any of the things you mention are incorrect, it's that it's a matter of personal perspective what you think acting with integrity is or not. From our value system, we see Trump one way, but from another perspective - no matter how false it may actually be - they see the liberals as the greater threat and evil.
wokesters are people who don't understand reality they are basically still in sleep mode so the wokesters thought gamers wanted angry lesbian feminist who don't know anything about video games on G4TV well, once the parent company found out about the loss of viewership and complaints they brought in a girl who plays video games in a bikini woke go broke woke is a joke
You clearly don't know my politics. You said ALL MSM didn't tell the truth. Is Fox included in that group?

So you are saying they believe all liberals are a greater threat, no matter who they are compared to Trump and those who echo his lies? I understand to a point picking one item and sticking to it, like abortion, but the problem with that is when you look at the overall picture it's not cut and dry. What about young girls being raped and being forced to go through childbirth? What about anyone being raped? Guns kill thousands, whether it is murder, suicide, or carelessness, yet that's ignored? Even police have plead not to have laws that enable people to walk around packing weapons. They are put in more danger. What's wrong with strict gun laws? Law abiding citizens shouldn't be against that. What's wrong with mandatory classes, strict vetting, and an annual license? What's wrong with annual vetting to ensure people who have recently been arrested for drugs, assault, violence or drunk driving have their license revoked? What's wrong with annual vetting to make sure anyone diagnosed with a mental disorder is not allowed to carry a renew or get a license until they are deemed treated, if it is possible? Lies about the seriousness of Covid killed hundreds of thousands, but that's ok too, because you want guns or don't believe in abortions under any circumstances? Picking and choosing one sin in the Bible, or whatever book your religion follows as your reason, but accepting 5 others makes no sense. Lying, cheating, stealing, and adultery, are all sins. Rape, assaulting others, bullying others, spouting hate against others because of their skin color, culture, and religion are all sins. I just don't get it. Trump has committed every one of those sins. No big deal though right? He's Republican by God, and I'm voting for him. He says he wants to make America great again. He says Joe is senile. He says Joe's gonna raise my taxes. I believe him. I don't care about seeing Trump's taxes or that healthcare plan he promised. Healthcare for those who can't afford it is socialism. Welfare for the poor is socialism. Screw that. Tell them they should have gone to college. If they have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet that's their own fault. I'll be damn if I want my taxes paying for a living wage. I don't care about those who die from lack of proper healthcare because they couldn't afford regular doctor visits, medicine, or treatment. That's not my problem. I like Trump. He's strong. He's brave. He didn't serve in the military because he had bone spurs. I believe him. I like Trump. He calls all Mexicans and Central Americans looters, drug traffickers, and violent people. We don't want them here. I like Trump. He stands with us Proud Boys and hate groups. He won't condone us if we beat down or kill a black man, lynch a queer, or kill someone at a BLM rally. Does living and dying by one party, even if they change their ways to an extreme make sense? What if that party endangers Democracy, accepts a coup, and erases all the progress we have made towards civil rights and equal opportunity for all? Is it fine that people have hundreds of thousands in medical bills or have to sell their home for Cancer treatment or Covid hospitalizations, or any other medical issue? Is it fine that our schools are so underfunded, and kids coming are so poor that teachers are buying school supplies themselves? Is it fine that we have a serious lack of help and funding for the mental health crisis in America? How bad can it get before people see the whole picture? No one issue should ever be a reason to, in Trump's words.....Make America Great Again.
Self-awareness isn't a criteria to having integrity. The problem is that morality is subjective...or if it is objective it is objectively defined by the group one belongs to versus an individuals personal feelings. Two different groups can have two different moral structures. This happens all the time, especially in war. Most Russians don't think they are evil. They think we are the bad guys as are the Ukrainians. I think the challenge you are facing is two fold. One is that you see the truth as simply inconsistent with many of their positions and you have an expectation that people should be able to see the truth - or at least the truth that you see. The other is that it's common for people to see their moral pattern as universal when it's not. To some people freedom is worth dying for. So they may think that COVID which restricts their freedoms to save 1% of the population isn't worth it. Where as someone might see we should sacrifice a great deal to help the Ukrainian people avoid suffering and death, where as others do not. Morality is defined not universally or even by a society, but rather the group we identify as belonging to. And the right and left live in two different worlds completely. No wonder that neither side can understand the other. You ask how bad it can get before they see the whole picture. They will never see the picture you want them to see because the lens from which they look at the world doesn't take that picture. We already know that logic does nothing to persuade people. Logic isn't going to change @basso's or @MojoMan's minds. Not because they are dumb or not logical (I know many would disagree), but because they just don't want to change their mind and will always hold onto their belief system as it's fundamental to the way they view the world. Just think how hard it is to change anyone's mind on here liberal or conservative. Maybe there is one fundamental truth - that is - one way to interpret facts. But even if there was, it's moot, because people create their truths, their reality, not on trying to see the world for what it is, but to try to make sense of the world in a way that it feels secure. That's fundamentally true of humanity as a whole and one of our greatest weaknesses in the modern world. We're tribal.
Thank God the tribe that voted Biden as their choice over a raging sociopath who is only out for himself, and not the whole country is the majority. Americans as a majority made the right choice!
America is the land of opportunity. You can be one of the dumbest people in the nation and become president if your daddy set you up with enough money.
True. Trump could end up with criminal charges by then and be ineligible to make his last run before he dies of health problems. He probably won't live through another term even if he managed to steal and overturn the vote like he tried to last time. He can barely walk or hold a glass as it is.
Was a strength when humans were fighting for their survival thousands upon thousands of years ago. Not a strength now that we dominate and disease is our greatest threat.
