With all due respect, as a Rockets fan I would trade Wood and Tate and #16 for Jerami Grant in a split second. We would then all be laughing at how we robbed Detroit blind.

Lillard is sticking around to go at it with Jerami Grant and Christian Wood?

What's the point, that's not close to a title team.

I would not be laughing at Detroit. Grant has one year left on his contract, and is paid appropriately. Even if he agrees to an extension, the only way I would do that trade is if Grant could be flipped for the NOP pick. I doubt the Trailblazers offer that pick straight up for Grant.

Sure - I would flip him for the pick too.
The point is that he has far more value than we can offer to Portland.

A 1-3 of Ivey/Green/Murray with Christopher coming off the bench would be very interesting. I would worry a little defensively with Murray, but the Rockets scoring would be off the chain.

Team with the worst record and where its draft pick landed. Of course things changed in 2019 to the current format and no team that finished with the worst record has won the lottery since....until this summer ;)

    2021: Rockets; 2nd
    2020: Warriors: 3rd
    2019: Knicks; 3rd
    2018: Suns; 1st
2017: Nets (pick owned by Boston); 1st
    2016: Sixers; 1st
    2015: Timberwolves; 1st
    2014: Bucks; 2nd
    2013: Magic; 2nd
    2012: Bobcats; 2nd

True, but he won’t be 19 until November and would probably be top 5 if he played another year in college.

I’d trade up if he’s still there at 9 or 10

Not sure about that. I don’t consider DJ/capela pnr type bigs type 5 talents in the modern era. These type of bigs won’t be hard to find anymore and you can get them without wasting a top pick

True, my presumption being that Duren would develop his post moves and mid range game to warrant the pick. He’s there on size and athleticism already, and that can’t be taught.

It would be Showtime 2.0 ... Murray is pretty versatile at 6-8/225. He can switch and guard multiple positions. In this scenario finding a rim protector would be vital next to Sengun. While you probably wont be able to land a Walker Kessler or Mark Williams MAYBE (huge maybe with Tilman)they get proactive and buy a 2nd rounder? Guys like Oscar Tshiebwe, Christian Koloko, Yannick Nzosa could offer that from this draft. With this type of lineup I highly doubt the team would be in a position for another top 5 pick next year so the dream of Victor goes out the window, but this lineup with a tier 1 FA in a few years would be a tough out.

    Ivey
    Green
    Murray
    Sengun
Rim protector and then KAT in 2024?

Nix, Josh, KJ.Garuba, FA, FA as bench.

KAT is probably not coming to Houston, unless Jordyn Woods wants to move to Texas

lol, he's perfect if the Blazers want a stat-padder for tanking to get the 1st in 2023.

If Mathurin measures out to actually be 6'6", he's my choice -- unless we have already taken Ivey with the earlier pick. Then it would be Murray.
