After a few days to marinate on this, I’m now pretty damn excited about having 6 first rounders over the next 3 years. That sounds pretty damn nice to me. I wish we got a couple of players or some extra 3rd and 2nd rounders, but we can work with this. Should be a pretty damn fun draft
CBS latest mock has us taking: Ikem Ekwonu OL at 3 Jermaine Johnson EDGE at 13 Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida with our 2nd round pick https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...tson-target-qbs-packers-try-to-replace-adams/
Neal and Ekwonu are the two wildcards for me. Tunsil should be the future at LT and Howard might? be the future at RT. I didn't watch many games at all this year, but from what I've read, Howard was much better when he played OT instead of OG. The key will be if the team picks up his 5th year option as he's currently heading into his 4th season. If they don't see him as a long-term cornerstone of the OL then it makes perfect sense to draft Neal or Ekwonu to be your future at RT. They are both elite prospects who could play OG for one season before taking over for Howard at RT. An O-Line anchored by Tunsil and Neal/Ekwonu is really exciting. BUT, do they view Howard as the long-term RT? Because then you can go Thibodeaux, Hutchinson (if he falls), Walker, Hamilton or trade back from #3.
I thought Howard was solid at RT but moving him around was affecting his performance. You’ve already got young talent at OT the defense needs a serious infusion of top talent. Take Hamilton at 3 and fix the interior OL with Linderbaum at 13. We can all watch their HOF inductions in 15 years or so.
Hopefully The Falcons love Willis. The Texans could do #3 for #8, #43, #74. Draft value is almost equal.
They added the 107th overall pick to the compensation which is the 2nd overall pick in the 4th round. The Texans also have the 108th pick- to total 7 of the top 108 picks
