    Revisionist history at its finest.

The CF poll showed majority in favor of Green but oh yeah everyone but a vocal minority knew Mobley was one lmao. Saying the rebuilding failed because you missed out on Mobley is also dumb af. Maybe you didnt get the best talent available, but that doesnt mean you failed. You only failed if you got a scrub, and the Rox still landed up with a pretty good player.

I dunno how others look at it, but for me Green was the much safer bet while Mobley was the higher upside bet. Big men are always a gamble, and its the case for Mobley cuz a guy with a very similar build called Alexsej Pokusevki just got drafted by OKC a year prior and didnt really impress. Mobley also didnt have much of a shooting ability, he shot like 2 threes a game at 30% in the NCAA. Basically worse nos than Jalen Suggs and we all know Suggs' shot has failed to translate to the NBA game. Of course now Mobley looks like a stud but these are thing you'll know aftee the fact not before.

Plus, Mobley's nos havent been so hot recently. His defense is still good but his offensive nos have gone down. Way down. Right now he's 26% 3 pt, 49% FG and 67% ft. Yikes. Is that really worth all bellyaching going on about getting Green instead of Mobley? Lol. Sure Mobley is still the better talent but Green aint no scrub himself.

It can eve be a blessing in disguise cuz we can end up with Jabari Smith or Chet Holmgren who both fit better with Green than Mobley.

Career high points last night; I think with Allen being out he will finally start putting up better stat lines but he hit the rookie wall hard

As well as Green is playing, we blew it by not taking Mobley.

you honestly don't believe it helps to have Garland and Allen helping Mobley out? or Pascal and FVV helping Barnes out?

I think Green has all the liberties any player could want - and is doing fine, but he is not a lead dog.

Mobley Is Leonardo? Mobley should be Donatello and Garland should be Leo.

    Lebron should be Metal Head.

Or maybe we screwed up not keeping Jarrett Allen.

another game where mobley has the worst +/- on the team. it's a long season if you start at the beginning of this thread and read until now.

That‘s a bit harsh. Mobley has been playing great all season. Green struggled for the first half. So if we consider the whole season, Mobley clearly is the better player. If we look past ASG, it gets a lot closer. I find it impressive, how much Green has improved. Since ASG Green has:

    +4.2 PTs
    +1.1 AST
    +.05 TS%
    +.05 3pt%
    +.09FG%
    +14 ORTG

Mobley number are only slightly improved in that time. Now if we only compare them post ASG:

18.8, 3.6, 3.4 on .569 TS% vs. 16.1, 9.1, 2.5 on .558 TS%. That is a lot closer. Mobley is a lot better at defense (although Green has also improved a lot in that time) - and Green is a lot better at shot creation. Overall at this point I would really consider this a question of personal preference of who is playing better post ASG.

Of course, like I said, Mobley has been doing that longer. So do we consider Greens play just a hot streak? Or a sign of how he can improve (and will continue to improve)? With the number of games he has been playing at this level and all the talk about his work ethic and character I chose to believe the latter, but that is still up in the air.

He is only a unicorn if he gets his offensive arsenal going.
Otherwise just an extremely versatile defender and a decent option on O.

Cade has passed him but league still gives him ROY, not enough time.
