Time for an update junior. Off : 111.8 (14th) Def : 109.6 (10th) Net : +2.2 (12th) Harden and his 3FG% and TO% won’t help anyone.
member when klay said to gray gimme the ball i am gonna have a great shooting game, before okc game 6?
So who's philly going to go to in the 4th? We all know not Harden. Embiid? I havent watch enough this year.. I know he's putting up numbers but is he dependable in crunch time?
1 first of all if either harden and embiied dont get injured it will be a huge miracle.... 2 harden has no midrange so the crunch time is off 3 so it gotta be embiied
Harden solidifying his legacy as both fair weathered player and also a massive choke artist is concerning.
I had thought that …. But we all know that’s only true for when he and the team plays well…. It seems the games they lose matter a lot to you… All numbers updated from stats.nba, com today Pre Harden Win % : .603 Off : 111.0 Def : 109.2 Net : +1.8 Since Win % : .666 Off : 115.3 Def : 111.6 Net : +3.7 Not sure how I missed it. Their team wins more and has performed better but yep. Harden not helping anyone I guess. https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/mvp.html Someone contact bballref. These crazies have a guy who doesn’t help anyone as a MVP candidate…
It doesn’t matter to me. Just reminding you since you and the fan club blow your loads after 2 good games against terrible teams.
Right. That’s exactly how I would describe the post you replied to. Blowing my load. No proclamations of “championship for sure!” or “the league better watch out!” It was literally a short simple reminder that your brilliant idea that Harden won’t help anyone was stupid. And based off the results after 12 games… still stupid if you think he isn’t helping. Since joining Philly his scoring efficiency has gone from pretty average back to elite. His turnover % went from a disgustingly bad 19.8% in Brooklyn down to a very respectable 15.8% in Phllly.(Jokic has a turnover % 15.7% for the season) The team is winning a higher percentage of games and their net rating has doubled in the positive direction. They have beaten some very good teams and some bad teams and lost to some very good teams. This idea that they have been bad or disappointing is dumb. And you aren’t convincing anyone that you somehow don’t care and that you actually believe the regular season doesn’t matter. You gleefully return for the bad games and act as if they matter and that you care very much about them.
The only reason his scoring efficiency is "elite" is due to his free throw shooting (his fg% and 3pt% are nothing special), and his free throw shooting is inconsistent in the playoffs. Also, which "very good teams" has Philly beaten? What a weird time to praise Harden.....right after he singlehandedly loses an extremely winnable game.
I forgot that free throws don’t count anymore. I didn’t join this thread after last night and praise Harden. I woke up this morning to the Far East disappointment replying to one of my posts after game #2 acting as if he was somehow right that Harden wasn’t helping anyone. I presented the facts that would suggest over his short tenure, yes he has helped. Dallas, Chicago and Cleveland are good teams. Dallas and Minny have specifically been playing really well lately.
Quit being obtuse. Year after year, we've seen refs swallow their whistles in the postseason. Well, maybe he was having a reactionary post after Harden singlehandedly turned a win into a loss. Cleveland isn't a very good team. They're currently the 6th seed. The Mavericks are the 5th seed. Neither of these teams have a shot at winning the title. Chicago didn't have Vucevic when they played. Minnesota hasn't been playing that well. They've benefitted from opponent injuries along with an easy schedule. Also, Philly played Minnesota before Minnesota started their win streak.
Irrelevant to the entire reason my post was bumped and why I replied. There is nothing obtuse about saying his efficiency has gone up. I didnt say his efficiency went up and it will absolutely without question carry into the postseason exactly the same way. It was only a factual example(just like his turnover %)that he has been playing much better in Philly overall. Simple idea was floated by the Far East disappointment: Harden is/will not be helping anyone Fact : Harden IS helping Philly be better than they were prior to the trade. Last night did not change this fact.
Given that refs call the playoffs differently, I think it's obtuse to crow about Harden's regular season TS%. Why not talk about his efg%? Fact: Harden had a negative impact for Philly last night and singlehandedly turned a win into a loss.
Can't say I miss when Harden partied too hard the prior night to a game and he came out looking like this.
This discussion has nothing to do with the playoffs dude. There is no crowing. Saying his TS% has improved is a factual counterpoint to the claim that was directed at me discussing Harden and his ability to help Philly this season. Having an elite true shooting %, no matter how the **** it’s happening, is helping Philly this season. His turnover % going way down is helping Philly this season. His WS/48 going from a meh .131 in Brooklyn to a very stout .232 in Philly is evidence of him helping Philly be better. Winning a higher % of games and having a better net rating with Harden opposed to without are statements of fact. Fact : I never claimed that Harden didn’t have a negative impact for Philly in the 4th quarter last night.
Incorrect. Unless it's sustainable in the playoffs, it's not helping Philly this season. Otherwise, it's just a false sense of security.
how did harden single handedly lose that raptors game god don’t like ugly, that’s why Stephen curry is injured. Which means no all nba team for him this year lol
