I have been one of the biggest KPJ backers. I was thinking he’s a 21 year old with some anger issues and immaturity issues he needs to work on. This latest stunt needs to be addressed either by the coach or the front office. He needs to be benched and used as a 6th man for a few games or he needs a couple of game suspension. If he responds well, then the experiment goes into next year. If he does not respond well, let him go and move on. If there are no consequences for this Silas needs to go. Of course, Silas needs to go anyway, because he has totally lost control of this team and is terrible at rotations and defense at a minimum. I’m not sure he is the offensive genius he is being made out to be either.
Yes, he has immense talent. When he's on, he's unstoppable. The problem with him is that he's unstable. And you can't rely on those type of players. It would be a different story if he was like a Rasheed Wallace or Artest type of mercurial, because he would channel his anger by playing harder. But he's the opposite, the guy just shuts down and refuses to do or listen to anything. That is a huge issue and because of that he will never reach his potential. I mean, he has great size, dexterity and athletic ability, he should dominate the pick and roll and drive and kick offense, but he keeps getting in his own way. Not practicing doesn't help either. It should be telling that, if true, Mobley's camp refused to have anything with us because of KPJ. The Rockets gave him a chance, brought him up and gave him the keys, benched Wall because of him. Let him skip practices, let him of the hook way too easy when he quit mid game and went home. The blame is solely on KPJ, he must understand in some way how big of a chance he has and how he's squandering it by acting like last night. We need to get rid of Wood and KPJ this summer, for the sake of the rest of the team.
honestly don’t see all this talent that people mention when talking about KPJr he’s taller Brandon Jennings
I was thinking he needs a strong coach presence but he has Lucas. I saw no more being protective. He needs to be punished and he has 2 choices. Realize this is it and act up or just cut him.
Yeah and he plays like he thinks he has way more talent than he does. I'll never understand how people lump him and Green in the same talent pool. It's not close. Hell Sengun has more talent. This dude has been given all this leeway because of one game and some broke ass and1 moves
I don't know how any of this is Lucas or Silas fault. People keep saying KPJ needs some tough coach, but he would have had a mental breakdown 2 weeks into the season and be cut from the team. I didnt mind the coddled approach to KPJ because we knew his anger issues or whatnot. I was hoping by babying him we were able to have an all star level player for cheap. But now it turns out he ain't that great at basketball either, along with the attitude issues might be time to cut ties at some point. Wood and KPJ has the same issues which is that their performance on court does not match their tantrums. If Wood and KPJ actually played like AD and Harden they can throw as many tantrums they want.
Freaking this. Jaden Ivey has immense talent. Cade Cunningham has immense talent. Jalen Green has immense talent. KPJ does not. He's a middling SG with no real ability to separate, explode off the dribble, can't find the open man, has a loose handle, turns it over a lot and calls his own name all the time. He pouts when things don't go his way and if the Rockets were decently run, he'd have been kicked off of 3 teams already counting USC. KPJ literally is what the Green haters wish Green was.
we need to be patient with kjp. he's still very young and in normal human years, should only be a senior in college. give him more playing time and trust the process. once he's like 29, then we can stop and re-asses his fit.
According to the guy that posted before you, he is unstoppable when he is on. I have never seen him being unstoppable, ever lol.
only time he’s looked unstoppable was during that fake 50 point game Idk what kind of Jamaican voodoo went down on that night
these folks go through mental hoops trying to act like he's the next harden. KPJ is an idiot. He's absolutely nothing special. He was just fortunate that the Rockets were in the position of being the worst team so they gave him a shot. He's your typical low iq player who gets upset at the dumbest shitt
He did score 50 points once so he was unstoppable once in the way Sadiq Bey was unstoppable a few days ago with unsustainable hot shooting. As of right now, he has an average first step, no burst, doesn't get separation, and gets no lift when he attempts to finish at the rim on contested layups. If his shot is on he is hard to guard because he is shifty and can pass He certainly can score, but it's all very reliant on his jumper. I don't see why some people think he has elite talent though. He isn't good enough at getting to the basket to be that kind of player.
What I kind of find funny is how much hate KPJ gets after EVERY off game when he's clearly dealing with an ankle injury......but there's hardly a peep about other starting guards on the team that actually played worse on both sides of the ball. Funny how that works. Normal fans would look at it as a bad game against a tough team by a young player trying to play through an injury, certain player only fans look at it as an opportunity to advance a narrative they've been trying to push since before the season started.....while deflecting attention away from other players who had even worse performances.
Some dude on Twitter told me I don't watch games because I said KPJ doesn't have near the talent everyone acts like he does. Dude told me he is borderline elite. Idk what kind of spell he put on everyone but he is actually bad at everything except spot ups Edit* found Boobys burner account
KPJ just being KPJ. Blaming anyone else for his antics on and off the court is laughable. If he flies off the handle and punches a player, coach, ref or fan are you just going to blame the coach or organization? Get outta here with that ish. Clearly he needs to be held accountable for all his actions and hopefully will be this time around because he is who he is. And throwing a "He's just young" in there is no different. This isn't rec league people.
He would have been tossed out on a rec team - no one wants to deal with a headcase....not that important. DD
Remind me when "other players" started throwing tantrums in the middle of the game. The only other person on the team that does this is Wood. Normal fans like the ones in Cleveland wanted his ass off their team and they got their wish
