Rockets will end up with a top 2 pick in the draft. I for one wouldn't mind it being Chet or Jabari, but I would love it if we could dump KPJ off on Detroit or Orlando to get another top 3 pick and have Ivey as well. Not happening but wishful thinking of Gordon or Wood being included and a future Nets pick or two.

Ivey is my #2 now. D-Mitch/D-Wade hybrid.

    Chet
    Ivey
    Smith
    Paolo

I'd lose no sleep if we picked him over Chet.

Is Jabari Smith better than Bobby Portis? Think about that. I'm serious. That doesn't move me.

Can't you get a player like that late lottery most years?

We’d be lucky to get an early 2nd for KPJ at this point

Picking Jabari over Ivey is going to make Green over Mobley look like a highway robbery. Luckily though, I think the Rockets brain trust is split between hooper types and advanced stat types. Ivey and Green are hooper types, while Mobley, Chet and Sengun are advanced stat darlings. Jabari is really neither, so we should be safe.

I feel you. That makes sense. That’s a helluva consolation prize tho.

Now if we land 5th? I’d be miserable

I do....but it's not an exact science. Many variables to consider.

One can look for common denominators but sometimes people
have an off night......or a defense is more dialed in that particular
    game than another.

I like Chet for one main reason... the Rockets have some scorers right now and need some defense. Chet could provide that much needed presence in the paint (even if he is a tooth pick) He may be a splinter but those can be really annoying

Mathurin just stepped up in the crunch of this TCU/Arizona game.

How was that not a foul?

That one guy dumb as hell dunking the ball. They need to kick his ass if they lose. All he had to do was finger roll and they win the game.

Too close to make that call on the fly imo. Imagine pulling up and missing...you'd never hear the end of how you should have just hurried for the dunk.

    I don't agree.

He would be forgiven for rushing to beat the clock.

He'll be forgiven here as well tbh.

    Fun stuff none the less

Will Mathurin slip to our BKN pick?

If not, trade up for him. I like
