The one thing as Texans fans we have to all agree on and understand.....the player (like Caserio says) is gone. He is no longer a Houston Texan. All of this crap about his legal issues should move to D&D. All threads in this forum of this ******* should be locked up. Let's move on and talk more about what Caserio can do through the draft and free agency to build this team into a contender.
I bet the commish finds a way to punish Watson because of the obvious fine avoidance. I would be surprised Watson gets 12 games.
A lot of us say Salary cap is a myth you can always manipulate the cap. But now over the past 4 years the QB money is ridiculous. Deshaun, Tunsil and Cooks held like over 30% of the cap. I think the QB should not count against the cap but then I see all the teams without a franchise qb and I'm like no they should. I'm torn.
The Browns deserve everything coming their way. When Watson has a career ending injury I hope they find a way to nullify paying him while having it go against the cap. The biggest piece of **** in the NFL rightfully the face of the Browns
Browns: "Yo, Deshaun, did you do what you were accused of?" Watson: "lol nah." Browns: "We spent a tremendous amount of time exploring and investigating the opportunity to trade for Deshaun Watson..."
The 3 firsts are fine, but Texans should have insisted Mayfield was in the trade 1) Mills has proven nothing. 2) If you are sold on Mills, then flip him for additional draft capital. 3) You control his destination (mainly keep him from away from a division rival - Indy).
He gets a 10 million dollar signing bonus then an extra 10 million dollars for each female he sexually assaulted. Hope his mom is proud !
Seriously, I bet they spent a tremendous amount of time exploring and investigating the Cleveland market of desperate, snitch-unlikely masseuses. As depressed as that town is, I can imagine it's booming.
When winning is your #1 priority (as is the case for 95% of the NFL), when you say you "did research" or your "due diligence" what you mean, is we verified that he wouldn't have any more legal ramifications. I assumed that they talked to a number of legal guys and verified that he wouldn't have to worry about this getting retried or whatever. It's unfortunate, but he's definitely SKYROCKETED (no pun intended) to be the most hated Houston sports figure ever... Legitimately EVER. On the field, off the field, all of the above, he's done quite a few people dirty in this all while saying "I want to rebuild my image"....
Thank God we move on from this ******* and he's someone else's problem. We get to breathe again and focus just on football and the Texans.
