He seems to always show up at the end of big games. Also, huge props to Carlton, Cheney and whichever guards were helping on Cockburn in the post. They made him work all game while still defending the 3...just textbook team defense.
The Sweet 16 is becoming the floor for this program and it couldn’t be happening at a better time. Who wouldn’t want to be apart of this? A stud recruiting class for next year + the Transfer portal + the move to the Big 12. Great times are ahead for a long time!
Says a lot to have Fabian have a bad game and UH still finds a way to win and pull away late. The culture and chemistry on these UH teams are a true testimony to Sampson
Can someone play Sixteen Candles! How sweet it is! This may not be the most talented Houston team, but it may be the grittiest, toughest, never quit bunch ever. I am a UH grad, but I have graduate degree from TCU. Hope the Frogs knock off Arizona. A UH vs. TCU game will be interesting for me. Sorry Frogs I would have to cheer for the Coogs.
I'm so glad I decided to go. An ncaa tourney game has been a bucket list item for me. The atmosphere is really special. College basketball fans from all over here. Such a unique experience.
Renu Khator. Tilman Fertitta (lmao). Kelvin Sampson. The best things to ever happen to UH basketball in the last 30+ years I hope one day we'll give this team the fan support they deserve
Taze Moore was an incredible find. He was at Cal State Bakersfield for five years before transferring to Houston.
They have a ton of support. Lets not just throw shade to the folks that have been supporting them for a long time and act like they’re the rockets
And you get to scope the hotties from the other schools. You definitely should go next week with Arizona possibly in the mix.
No shade. Its improved but lets not kid ourselves we have a weak crowd considering how good this program has been the last 5 years. I was in school when Sampson was hired and do see a massive improvement but we got ways to go. Its not even just a UH problem its more of a Houston thing We are a very soft sports market imo
UH will never have a crowd of duke/nc if that’s what you’re expecting. Every game I go to for UH I love the atmosphere. Season tickets are sold out and home games sell out at a very significant rate. Student sections are at capacity. Those are pretty much the most important things
