Certainly nothing to talk about after the first few minutes of blocking Duren, but he has 20 minutes to redeem himself. Could possibly bounce back like the Duke game. Banchero was embarrassing him early, but he’s a competitor.
In this case i hope Memphis wins and kicks Gonzaga out of this. Would probably increase chances of getting Chet without nessecarily having the 1st pick
Yeah. Chet is a competitor. Banchero was playing him off the floor earlier this year, but he kept working.
Yea I can see that but they are significantly bigger than Memphis. Slow the game down and play in the half court. Memphis is making adjustments and their bench is showing up then never looked to lose confidence.
He didn’t play him off the court, Paolo had a good game against Gonzaga. Chet did pretty well individually too. Blocked Paolo a couple times Paolo did body him a couple times too
You misunderstand. Banchero was getting the best of him early in the game. Twitter was blowing up. Chet kept working and finished the game strong. Saying all that to say Chet won’t quit and maybe has a strong 2nd half in him.
KC Ndefo highlights coming up... This kid is playing his way into the draft. St. Peters game was great.
Memphis is making an effort to keep a body on Chet. Game plan is solid, zone is working how it’s supposed to. If guards don’t open it up the big guys can’t work.
I mean, when you are getting beat down the court off a free throw - a free throw! It's not a good omen.
Gonzaga has shooters, zone should be easy for them to break. Chet is a shooter and can operate on the perimeter. Timme always seems to have a smaller guy on him they gotta figure it out... Especially Timme this is the knock on him, play physical with him and you can rattle him a bit.
Chet’s played 9 mins with 2 rebs, 2 blocks an assist and 1-2 for 2 points. He’s got 3 fouls to go so he’ll for sure play more in the second half. Duren in also the same amount of time has 3 rebs, 0 blocks, an assist 2-7 for 4 points and also had trouble with 2 fouls. They’ve both barely played although Memphis seems to be making involving Duren a priority when he’s in.
I recognized Chris Webber in that Powerade pause advertisement but just now realized Jason Williams is the guy he is doing the handshake with.
