So we want to dismiss the premises entirely and keep dancing on as if the United States is the epitome of righteousness? We want Russian citizens to stand up to Putin to put a stop to his aggressive behaviors. I fully agree with this. I also want US citizens to stand up to their government and stop their aggressions across the globe. At least Russians have an excuse. They do not have reasonably fair elections. Americans love to elect war mongers.
Yeah I just don't see how you get these guys are war mongers outside the invasion of Iraq. We went into Afghanistan with the world's blessing to get Al Qaeda. Also why did you leave off Trump? He sent US forces into Yemen (for who knows what) and launched a missile strike into Syria. Does that make him a war monger? He also sent more us forces into Somalia.
When you brought up how everything was better before the 70s. Ah. Well good luck with that. Sound money shouldn't be so volatile.
Trump was right, all could have been avoided.....Welp, on the bright side no more mean tweets so yay....
Interesting Twitter thread on the state of Russia. Has NSFW content of death and torture https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1500495309595725831.html Let's discuss what's happening in Russia. To put it simply, it's going full fascist. Authorities launched a propaganda campaign to gain popular support for their invasion of Ukraine and they're getting lots of it. You can see "Z" on these guys' clothes. What does it mean?
Good. Ukraine badly needs missile defense system to protect civilian and infrastructure. Russian-made S-400 missile defense systems This kind of stuffs should stay private
It's sad and pathetic how brainwashing your people like Putin does can make them think the victims are the enemy. Reminds me of that twice impeached guy.
I'm sure it is no coincidence they use the same tactics. How they describe Ukrainians sounds a lot like him describing Mexico and then he says we should be doing the same to them.
Huh… Americans elected JFK and LBJ which was the admin that got us into Vietnam. Americans aren’t what you are trying to describe with your typical SpaceGhost snark. Yes they are ignorant often and can get brainwashed just like any countries people can by propaganda to vote in people like Trump but putting wars on the American voter is weird and makes it sound as though you are from Spain or Greece or something. We are easily drawn into wars because of WW2 where we had to built an entire industry overnight to match the German war machine. That industry left us in a position that understandably has us with responsibilities. Think of it like this. Back in college my now wife told a story one time about how her best friend had a boyfriend who was 7 foot tall and sat on the couch and watched as her then 50 year old mom was trying like heck to hang a light fixture. Because the guy was 7 foot tall, and her mom was older it was perceived as a d******d move to just sit there. It’s no fault of Americans that they are often torn on when to intervene. Intervention almost often leads to prolonged wars. Some wars are unnecessary like Iraq, and some are often started as initially trying to do the right thing and getting stuck in a quagmire. Then sometimes you have the ability to save the world from tyranny like we helped do in WW2. With Ukraine Biden is trying to walk a fine line. Like we don’t know what is the right thing to do until years later. One things for sure though is like with LBJ and Vietnam he cannot let the military over influence his decision making. He also can’t let Jack asses like Nixon bully the messaging and work to sabotage America for political power which is what the American right wing surely will try to do if given the chance. We have major issues yes, but being perceived as all war mongers isn’t really fair. Voting for ass hats like Nixon and Trump can definitely be an issue though as they promise to get us out of wars while actively undermining our ability to do just that.
I think that’s just Ukraines trying to Jack with Putin’s psyche. I doubt Ukraine would want it out there if they did intercept this intelligence.
