hes a pro, look at him..if only silas had a player like this we would be winning a lot more...rockets lack talent to win...
He contributes strong minutes for a team that is well coached and well organized. Structure has a way of bringing out the best in you.
East is pretty wide open. Any team that can go 20-3 will have the chance for a nice run in the playoffs.
Why can the Grizzlies have aquaman in their line up doing the little big things to win games and not have it affect their "spacing" on offense? Their PF attempts 5 threes a game but he doesn't really make them consistently. At one time, we had Weapon Theis, Tate and Wood thinking they were Hakeem operating the block! It's still crazy to me and with a rookie pg still trying to figure out how to run an offense. I think you can only have 1 guy that is not a threat from three maybe 2 if everyone buys into ball movement. Surrounding Sengun with Chet or Jabari and moving Tate to the super sub would be beneficial to errbody. Tate could even average more minutes than the 27 minutes he gets now in the new role.
no just keep the same system and personel until we accumulate 5 top 5 picks in a row... this is how we got hakeem and sampson
we are trying to lose . But yeah , I think we are sitting Tate more right now to help us lose . we really need to add one of these top bigs and actually try to win games next year
Actually, we only had to tank for two years in order to draft Ralph and Hakeem. We drafted Ralph and McCray with the 1st and 3rd picks in 1983, and Hakeem with the 1st pick in 1984. The Rockets made the playoffs in the ‘84-‘85 season, and went to the finals in the ‘85-‘86 season. So, if you hit on your picks, the rebuild can be accomplished fairly quickly.
This. Theis's problem in Houston was not that he was bad, but that he's a role player that didn't fit. Though, if the Rockets get a top 2 pick, that may no longer be the case.
on the other hand if they went on to build a real winning culture, and the road less traveled, they could have won 5 in a row, perhaps could have become the best franchise of all times! but they settled for the quick fix and the losing spirit is still ruling over this franchise, perhaps gonna ruin it completely and/or even cause to be moved from this city... have you heard a story? of a man who sought the glory he sold his house and all he had put all the money on a single bet he had the fortune goddess on his side and doubled his fortune over the night yet despite his enormous gain its not advisable to a common man to sell his house and risk going broke cause there is no way around the hard work
No way around hard work. Yet refuses to watch the team through thick and thin as a fan of the game/team. Only choosing to watch when we were winning. Shame.
