My point was that the value of an offer shouldn’t be based on other offers. They should go into it with a value threshold and anyone who doesn’t meet it doesn’t get in the door. Using the draft value chart, they should have calculated an absolute floor. As long as you reach that floor, it’s acceptable value. In my estimation, Watson’s value should be around 1000 points more than Russel Wilson’s.
Perhaps you and I just differ regarding the value of AJ Terrell. The Russell Wilson trade is a great example because the picks are so close to Atlanta's. For simplicity sake, let's just value 2 FRPs and 2 SRPs from Atlanta the same as those the Seahawks received. 1000 points is an additional 16th pick in the draft -- to me, AJ Terrell easily meets this threshold and is way better than any of the players the Seahawks received. A team could easily burn a top 10 pick on a CB and the likelihood is that pick won't be as good as AJ Terrell.
This dude is delusional. He’s trying to negotiate more money coming off serious allegations and not playing for a year
By the way, I forgot that Atl has two SRPs this year. I could see them trying to frontload a trade to preserve their future draft capital, such as #8, #43, and #58 this year along with their 2023 FRP and AJ Terrell.
Sexually assaults women (forced two women to perform oral sex, ejaculated on three women and in front of three others, groped four women and kissed another woman unprompted upon arrival for a massage appointment) Signs long contract extension Demands trade Refuses to pay off women he assaulted Is paid to sit out entire season Has no trade clause so decides where he wants to play Drags out decision where to play PROFIT
The Russ Wilson trade should be the “starting” price for Watson and I don’t care about any of the reasoning to accept less, logical or not. Hold your cards Caserio. No need to rush. Russ Wilson & a 4th RD pick was acquired by Denver for QB Drew Lock on a rookie deal, a Pro-Bowl caliber TE in Noah Fant, DE Shelby Harris who last year recorded 6 sacks and excels at swatting passes while still having 2yrs remaining under contract, (2) 1st RD, (2) 2nd RD, & a 5th RD pick. ATL offer of Terrell & 2 1sts is a decent start, but it needs to be sweetened. Top tier NFL QBs don’t grow on trees, and ATL isn’t exactly the definition of a destination NFL organization for talent.
Zak Keefer @zkeefer My thought: If Watson was going to the Saints, he would've picked the Saints by now. If he sides with Atlanta — his hometown team — Matt Ryan will be looking for a new team. Colts make a lot of sense for him, and he makes a lot of sense for the Colts (given the available options) Stephen Holder @HolderStephen Regarding Matt Ryan, I’m buying the theory that his agreeing to postpone the bonus payment suggests a confidence that a trade is coming. And that HAS to mean Atlanta is confident about landing Deshaun Watson. At that point, Ryan to Indy makes a lot of sense for both sides.
he’s a scumbag. It should be obvious by now. Signing an enormous contract with Houston only to pout like a baby and sit out less than a year later because he’s mad at the owner? Then 22 women say he’s a scumbag? When someone shows you who they are believe them. I loved the guy as a football player and have been shocked by his behavior the last two years, but he’s made me a true believer…that he’s a scumbag.
dude the panthers got Darnold and then immediately guaranteed his 5th year option. The panthers are trading draft capital and significant players, but they can't do that for Watson?
