How many bad threads can one person make? None of these rookies will be a top 10 player of all time, let alone two of them.
then you should know why this is ridiculous 1984 draft: GOAT, defensive GOAT and top 10 all-time, and MVP/11x All-NBA/1 of the greatest players to never win a ring How is this even a question?
Even though Stockton and Willis were taken later, I see this draft as being deeper. Plus there's some really stout talent up top. Overall, it has the potential to be mentioned in the same breath.
I don't see why people get so offended by this. Eventually, there will have to be a draft that will be better. The top 10 list won't stay the same forever, atleast i hope so. How boring would that be...
Modern hype is unreal, social media gave voices to all kinds of birds. I for one will pay my respects to history accordingly. I think the Lebron Carmelo one was among the best. 96 KB, AI, Nash and Jesus.
Most likely not. Probably not even on the 2003 draft level because there isn’t a LeBron level player. After 1984 and 2003. I think it may potentially stack up favorably against most other recent drafts from top to bottom when it’s all said and done. These dudes are all only 20 years old though. They’re off to a good start. Definitely a promising class for sure. Edit: I just went back and looked at some and there are some really bad drafts mixed with some solid ones. Going to depend on if any of these guys become bonafide superstars to determine where they will rank historically.
Way too early for this but if you're going off 1 year it's not even close. 1984 had one rookie on the all NBA teams and one rookie on the all NBA defensive teams. 2021 is nowhere near that.
Rookies were 22 back then so comparing rookie years is not quite fair imo. That's not saying that the 2021 class will ever be as good.
there is no being mentioned in the same breath unless this draft produces at least 2 top 10 all-time players, and u know this stout talent up top, compared to the GOAT, defensive GOAT who won B2B titles with 1 as the 6th seed, had multiple quadruple doubles, and is the all-time leader in blocks… and Charles Barkley all in just the top 5 then later Stockton who was a 10x All-Star and all-time leader in assists c’mon man…quit it
This draft seems like it will produce quite a few all-stars and maybe 2-3 superstars but that isn't enough to beat out a draft that produced 2 of the top 5 players of all time
Overall top to bottom talent is there. Again, how many teenagers do we have in this one? And, a lot of these guys are flashing already.
