I don't blame Mayfield for wanting to leave. Like, yeah, he hasn't performed to the expectation you'd want from a No. 1 overall pick, especially last season. But he's also one year removed from helping lead Cleveland to its best season in decades, and he's getting shopped publicly to be replaced by a guy who didn't play at all last season and has 22 allegations of sexual assault against him. I'd probably demand a trade, too; that's got to be humiliating.
I wonder if the hold up isnthe Falcons trying to get rid of Ryan? Do they even have the space to complete the trade while having Ryan? I know Indy has the cap space, but maybe they are low balling to get Ryan knowing the Falcons are desperate.
Plus Baker was the walking wounded last year. He probably lessened his value by trying to play hurt instead of being shut down.

Flopping it out in public is a crime but it's hard to prove the same crime in a private setting. That sure as hell doesn't make him innocent. In all reality he could simply be just a smoother criminal who carefully planned his assaults in a way they would be impossible to prove.
