Obviously it would have been better if Watson didn't demand a trade and wasn't out there trying to coerce women into massaging his butthole but that's not the reality we're living in. That franchise QB doesn't want to be here no matter how much you stan for him. Watson was on the roster last year. Did that help us? Were we relevant? There is obviously no way of salvaging this relationship so getting good young players and picks in return is exciting, yes.

"Every team" did not want Watson. Notice that there are a ton of teams in need of a QB with picks and assets to offer, but really only four teams made legitimate offers for him that we know of. That speaks to the risk teams know they're taking on by picking him up. This organization is awful, but they've handled the Watson situation since the allegations have come out about as well as they reasonably could have, and they're about to get rewarded with a monster trade package. He didn't want to be here anymore and another team wants to take on the headache of his off-the-field stuff. Let them deal with it, and let's move on. If you don't want to root for them, no one is forcing you to.

If Rodgers in 5 months starts saying he doesn’t want to be there, after signing a massive extension and then goes on to sexually assault a bunch of Midwest women. Then you have a similar situation. As it is, Rodgers is a top 3 QB all time. Multiple time mvp and has been in the league 16 years. Watson is no where remotely in the same stratosphere as Rodgers.
