What they should do is give out ribbons for sexual assault awareness and dedicate the game to women who have been victims of abuse with all proceeds going to charities.
Just like when the Astros traded for Robert Osuna, I keep the same energy for anyone who is a dirt bag. I can't believe the number of people trying to defend Watson like their god cannot be this way. The dude has been accused by 22 women and the civil charges still exist. They are acting like a failed indictment on something so difficult to prove means their god is pious. I will be rooting for his failures throughout his career and rooting for him to actually find peace and find a way to atone for his wrongdoings.
%r I figured something like that would exist.. didn't mean it literally... Also, there are some under the table things that could be done... like Brandin Cooks for a #1 a year from now..
you would have to compare all the picks between 8 and 18, since ultimately you would be able to select any player in that range, including the ones you listed. 10 spots in the first round it fairly significant on the value chart, especially . Also, having a higher picks makes it easier to potentially trade up should there be a top tier QB prospect available. Picking 8 and trading up to, let's say 3, would be less costly than trying to trade up to 3 from 18. All hypothetical of course
I think most athletes do things he did... part of being young, rich, and famous... you think you can get away with things... That being said, his nice guy facade is gone for good... he's just another athlete posing...
My theory on delay... he's recruiting and his new team is working out cap space so they know what's available... My guess is Atl with Pitts staying... they probably flip Ridley for a #2 or 3 to build up capital... My guess is Ryan to Indy for future #2 and #3... Ridley for a 2 or 3... They swap 3 #1s and a few #2s with Ryan/Ridley deals leaving them some mid round picks to get weapons for Watson... Fuller to Atl to replace Ridley....
Just a point no one seems to be making... Having Deshaun doesn't mean automatically getting late picks back... his last season in Houston he won 4 games... Granted, he had little help, but Atl and No don't have proven coaching and injuries happen that can turn a good defense to garbage...
Could Ridley come back from Atl? Suspension gives Nico time to develop... Mills having Ridley, Cooks, and Nico could be solid if they can get a legit rb in the draft... Mills just has to be a Garappolo or Cousins level talent for us to flip him in 1 or 2 years to draft the long term guy... surrounding him with weapons helps that...
You could do the same player by player analysis for any two draft positions and come to the same conclusion. All will have hits, misses, etc… But it’s all about value here and 8 vs 18 is not negligible by any means. With #3 and #8, Caserio could very well trade back, get a top player of his choice, and net another 1st rounder.
Can the no trade be waived then Nick be like, haha fingers crossed, we tradin' you ATL? His agency does unprofessional things all the time.
From a talent perspective, I'm not opposed to it. But I question whether the front office will want to go from one off-the-field headache to another. My guess is they won't want to touch Ridley with a 10-foot pole. I think they want to move on from the Deshaun drama with a fresh, positive start—adding Ridley clouds that positive outlook a bit.
I’d prefer ATL too but if both offers are similar and I assume they are since Caserio has apparently agreed to the parameters of both deals there is no sense in getting angry if Watson chooses NO. Judging by what Caserio did in the last draft I am pretty confident that he will hit on 2 of his top 4 picks in this draft regardless of where he picks.
Yea looks like Ruiz and Gardner would come over. Gardner already has removed things from his Twitter and liked comments about him removing the comments
