My hope is that New Orleans makes up for the lower first rounder and poorer quality players with more draft capital. If they throw in an extra second from what Carolina is offering or maybe two other third or fourth rounders, at least that's something. Or maybe they get a third young player to the two Carolina was offering. You have to think Caserio and the front office were comparing the packages between the teams against one another to come close to something they saw as comparable across the board, even if they had a personal preference for one team's package.
Maybe , maybe not. The franchise is a disaster but before BoB traded Hopkins for peanuts we were mostly oblivious. We know Watson is a fake Christian who thinks he’s a messiah. He has a persecution complex. Terrible person with trash morals. He’ll win a super bowl wherever he goes and the media will ignore the fact that he is a slime ball just like Ben.
I had insight to what he was doing before it came public. A friend of a friend was a victim. **** him.
How is walking away with nothing instead of three first rounders, multiple other picks and some some quality talent a smart move for the franchise? You're not making him happy at the franchise's expense. You're making the most of an awful situation and coming away from this with a package that will definitely help with the rebuild and allows you to turn the page on a regretful time in this franchise's history. People were saying the same thing about Harden about 15-16 months ago. And even despite them taking a package everyone felt was less than they could have gotten, the Rockets' future is now a million times brighter than it would have been otherwise had they held out.
We're all speculating on what each team has offered. NO's offer may be juiced up with players because their picks aren't as good. In the end, no matter what team DW picks, Cas can go back and say this is the offer I need to finalize this deal. If they don't agree, he can go back to DW and say ok what's your second choice and start the process over. It really boils down to Cas and what kind of negotiator he is. This trade will be the true start to his GMship and could be the foundation of any legacy he establishes. A lot is riding on this trade for Cas, the Texans and us (fans).
I don’t know her personally but a close friend does. Once I heard from him what happened my opinion on Watson flipped. I was in the camp of make Watson stay at all costs. Seeing the masses degrade these women and seeing Watson act innocent because he wasn’t indicted just makes me furious.
New coach + new QB could spell a rough first year at least in New Orleans. Future picks could be higher than anticipated. There are a couple young players on the roster that make some sense. Me - I'd also ask for Kamara to ensure that NO doesnt have an easy path. Not sure that happens, thats just my personal spin on the deal.
If they approved a meeting then they approved of a trade offer. Which means that NO offer is not final
Sorry to hear about the trauma. still putting 2 and 2 together. you heard about this before it even became public knowledge BUT at the same time you were in the Watson stays at all costs camp? Just asking for a friend.
I'm curious. For those that want Kamara if we trade with N Orleans. Aren't we trading a player that was no billed by grand jury for a dude who is definitely going to get suspended with the pro bowl beat down. Asking for a friend.
That’s gonna suck for NO. *If Watson gets 8 games, then don’t forgot about AK who is certainly gonna get Atleast that from his beat down in Vegas…
Watson will be suspended at most 6 games plus 2 more games to get back in the feel of things. That's why I want the Carolina package or the ATL one, not only do you get a top 6/8 pick this year but they will end up with 7-10 record this upcoming year. Can't easterby be useful and release some news that Kamara is going to prison so that Deshaun doesn't consider NO.
No I knew about it after the trade demand but before the lawsuits came public. He knew about it way before he mentioned it to me
NFL could take into account that he sat out all season and not suspend him at all. Maybe a giant fine.
